Mermaid Petticoat Suggestions Needed

Lori, on April 14, 2022 at 11:04 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6
I went for my first fitting yesterday and I brought along the two identical petticoats I purchased. I knew I wanted the bottom of my dress a lot poofier than what it is so I figured I would remove the hoop from one petticoat and wear both. The seamstress told me that I needed a petticoat where the tulle starts lower down and I’m looking for one. These photos are with one petticoat. I’m also thinking about asking if she can take the dress in behind the knee. I want the bottom to really flare.

The problem is I’m not seeing anything that will add the amount of poof I want. Does anyone have tips or examples of what they did to add lots of poof to their dress?

Thank you. I’m looking for options right this moment. I’m happy with how it looks considering I was having major dress regret when I first tried it on at home and actually was sure I had made the wrong choice. I’m back in love with my dream dress but I must have the poof! Lol

I get it I wouldn’t my dress to have major poof and was going to offer a petticoat but when I tried on the actual dress that I bought it was quite puffier than the one that I tried on as a sample. Perhaps you can just add layers of tulle Al the way around. I’m not a seamstress so clearly I don’t know what I’m talking about but there’s got to be a way to poof that out to your liking.
