Major help needed (bra options for backless dress but small breasts)

Jennifer, on January 18, 2016 at 8:16 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 23

I spent 2000 on a designer backless gown. The front has a plunging neckline and after altering the dress my boobs still look horrible. I need to have some super underwired padded support but everything so far has not worked.

In what way do you mean horrible? What size bra are you? Is there a built in cup? Do you have a pic of the front and back of the dress?

As a small chested girl- get cups sewn in! They have options for passing, lift, and both!

Emily - Horrible as I look flat, The gown is on Enzoani website under previous collection, blu, and it is the harrison dress... I am a small b almost a since I lost weight.

Annakay511 - the person who is altering the dress is a little old lady so I have to find cups but I have not been able to find underwire padded cups

Underwire is mostly for support, which we don't need bc we're flat lol. I found padded and push-up cups at JoAnn fabrics. ETA: You could even do 2 cups! I had 2 cups sewn into my wedding dress.

Honestly, I might suggest taking it to a different seamstress. Adding bra cups is a pretty standard alteration, and you shouldn't have to find them yourself.

Awww emily thank you but my pictures make the boobs look bigger then what they look like in person. So I brought Dritz Padded B cups to get sewn in to see if that helps. What are chicklets????.... lol

Hahah I think it's the fake name my friends called them since they look like silicone chicken breasts. Not these exact ones but they just help fill out a larger cup

I got a sticky bra from Victoria secret. Not for my dress but it would work.

The woman doing my alterations used to be a costumer for movies. I'm built like a 14 year old boy, and she's still managing to give me cleavage. It can be done. Perhaps call around to different alteration places?

Having cups sewn in is definitely the way to go. A sticky bra is uncomfortable and doesn't give much lift.

Definitely get cups sewn in. The place where I'm getting my alterations done said they sewed in 4 sets of cups for one girl!
