Looking for intimate wedding (50-60) locations in Northwest Indiana/Chicago!

My FH and I went thru so many different options and mind changes (if you saw anyone of my last posts you'll agree!) because we had such unrealistic plans with very real budget problems. So we finally decided to just save the big celebration for vow renewal in a later time (for a later headache) We've cut everyone from our list but close family and closest friends. So we're looking at intimate wedding options and the internet isn't giving me much. I was hoping you guys an help. In my mind, I'm thinking a ceremony at one of our churches then dinner at a nice restaurant. We're trying to save as much as possible so we're up for suggestions. So I would love your suggestions and stories if you got them? Any restaurants in the area you like? Small venues? I'm all ears.. We don't have a set limit but we do not have a lot of money so we are looking at the most affordable! We live in Gary but I go to church in Chicago and his is in Gary so either place works! Thanks in advance!

It's hard to get a restaurant for that many people as you would pretty much have to buy out the place. If your wedding is on Friday and Saturday, you're looking at a food and drink minimum of 15K at a good place. I would suggest looking at small cafes, studios, etc. that may open up their space for rent in the evenings or really big restaurants that have a semi-private area. Also, check your local museums, historic buildings, theatres and stuff, especially the ones that aren't popular or traditional venues
