My girlfriends took me out for dinner & drinks. It was fun there was music but it was a restaurant not a club. You don't have to get all wild & crazy, you could even have a last sleepover & watch movies & have a few drinks & just act goofy, whatever you want to do, just make sure your girlfriends know what you want to do so they don't rent a male stripper or something! LOL (Unless you want one of course)

You can definitely go against tradition and do whatever you like. My fiance isn't into strip clubs and that stuff so he is having all the guys get together for a piantball excursion. You probably don't want that exactly but it just shows ya that it can be whatever you like. I am very into karaoke so I'm thinking we'll be doing something with that, maybe even a drag queen karaoke club in NYto mix it up!

I think when people think of bachelorette parties they think nighttime activities, but you could totally plan a fun day with your bridesmaids instead. Go to the spa and get a nice lunch somewhere... Do a wine tour at a local vineyard... You could even do a full weekend of camping or something... It all comes down to what you really like to do and what type of activity you want to share with those best friends. Have fun!

Wineries, karaoke, movie night, slumber party, casino, go to a play...what are your favorite things to do? I love the spa day/night idea. The theme could be "Erica's Favorite Things," and include your favorite foodw, color, movie, drinks, etc. Enjoy yourself!

My girls took me out for dinner and then we headed out to a Karaoke bar. It was an awesome night! Atleast up until I was no longer sober. We were also going to have a pole dancing lessons hosted at my sisters, but the girl who did them was totally booked. That actually seems to be very popular from where Im from. Sounds like fun!

If you like the water, try renting an electic boat that holds approximately 12 people. You can bring wine and appetizers and usually your own cd's or ipod to play you own music. A great time to go is around sunset, set sail for about 2 hours. It's really a beautiful event.

If you are thinking that you would like a cake for your bachelorette party. I would love the opportunity to speak with you about your ideas, we can make a custom cake for the Bride to match her interests.

San Mateo - I'm originally from San Jose. You within a stone's throw of San Francisco and you have so much going on up there to choose from! Try thinking outside the bachelorette box...if you were going to go out for a big birthday or something, what would you do for fun? Rock concert? Comedy club? Giant's game? Bay Cruise? Or, if you want to be a little more cash-friendly, scavenger hunt? You can do whatever you want, and you're not under any obligation for strippers and unta-utna-unta club music! Smiley winking

I am the same way. I hate going to clubs. For my bachelorette party a bunch of my friends came to my house and a pure romance consultant came and we had a "fun party". Sipped cosmos and daquari's and had lots of laughs and a really good time.

We went to Foxwoods casino in CT. Not sure where you are from but it was perfect because there was shopping, gourmet restaurants, a spa, bars that were not clubby, bars that were clubby, and of course a little gambling Smiley smile If you have something similar in your area it is a good location for a lot of different interests!

I have done a lot of orders for shot glasses and Martini & Wine glasses, etc. for Bachelorette parties personalized as a keepsake.

A lot of the girls have just been having get together's at one of there homes or a hotel room just to kick back and relax and have a good time together.

    Hi, Erica,

I am a wedding and special events planner in Upstate, NY, "Heart and Soul Events". An idea that has been quite popular up here is scheduling a tour and reception at our historic Saranac Brewery. They take you on tour, a trolley ride around the city, and then have a reception in their historic tavern. They do a great job and everyone loves it! I am not sure where you are, but cultural and historic tourism is very popular. Hope this helps!

Congrats!... I'd suggest a Girls Nite In event. Perhaps a Spa/Pamper party, Cocktail Party or Movie Night. If you'd like to venture out, perhaps a nice Bridal/Bachelorette Party Breakfast or Brunch.

I'm not sure what you have in your area, but in Chicago there's a place called S Factor that has pole dancing classes. Bachelorette parties have gone there to celebrate and just be goofy together. I think it would be something different and fun if you could find something like that by you. You could go out for dinner and drinks first.

From Baltimore - well, bring your girlfriends my way to Hershey - the sweetest place on earth - Indulge in a chocolate "bath" - and spa treatment - try your luck out at Hollywood Casino just for some fun - and the best breakfast place in town "The Hershey Pantry" -

oh, and great outlet mall shopping right in Hershey - we still don't have sales tax on clothing purchases!!

I'd be happy to coordinate your reservations at any number of hotels in the area!

my second choice - Las Vegas!! great shows, great girlfriend fun! no strip show necessary but Thunder from Down Under ( hunky guys from Australia) is good, clean girlfriend fun!

For my bachelorette party, I wanted to get my bridesmaids together and we all go take a pole fitness class where they teach you how to pole dance.

I hosted a bachelorette where we went to a Spa and then a girlfriend hosted a dinner in her backyard. We then played silly (raunchy) games and gave gifts. It was really fun and personal. Another bachelorette I hosted, we rented a house in Palm Springs we BBQ'd, swam and sunned ourselves all weekend. It was great!
