Look at my information before you respond

I’m very disappointed because this app makes it very easy to send requests for pricing to vendors over and over that include your date as well as estimated guest list. A vendor we really wanted came back quickly very happy to assist us. I was elated and immediately ran back to my fiancé to confirm his pick was available. I noted my thanks to the vendor for being so quick because we had a short turnaround and suddenly he’s questioning what my date is. It is literally in my initial response. Then he informs me he is unavailable that date. How thoughtless can you be to respond without checking my request fully! Besides the event industry is hit hard by Covid, and you’re going to tell me you can afford to not “do weddings on weekdays”. You’d rather have an empty venue than host a wedding on a Wednesday? Remind me why I don’t just elope and avoid spending any money to get married?

I understand your frustration, and honestly even when I reached out to vendors directly on their website forms and not through wedding wire I had some ask me for the same information I already provided. It’s definitely irritating.
As for the no weekday weddings, my guess is it has to do with their staffing. Good luck!

I get it some vendors can be very unprofessional. I had the photographer for our wedding wait until over a year after we booked him to contact us and then asked what we needed to do the job... seriously? How should I know what you need to do your job?

This happened to us constantly. Even when we said, "no, that's not flexible," they'd try to get us to change it so they could get the sale (when we thought we were having a Church wedding and HAD to have it on a Saturday, changing to a Sunday was not possible).

I gave a florist my budget range, and they nearly tripled it. When I reiterated my max was barely half that budget, they got *rude*. I was appalled.

There's another I called and left a nice cancellation message on, for an alterations appointment, she called me day of demanding to know where I was. I pointed out that I'd left a detailed message on that same number WEEKS before.

I understand that some business people thinks this gets them sales, but... when I've given you the guest count, the desired days, and all the other information, and you ask for it all again? Oh, wow, do I think you don't pay attention!

    I'm sorry.

Best thing to do is to strike them from your list and word-of-mouth that nonsense around!
