Living Situation: Modern or Traditional?

Traditional! We’ll have been together for about 2.5 years by our wedding date.

Modern! We were living together over 6 months before we got engaged and it will be over 2 years by the time we get married.

We have two cats together. We haven't combined finances in the sense of a shared bank account but i pay some bills and he pays others. We don't split it 50/50 because we figure if he pays more this month I'll be saving more for the wedding and vice versa.

Modern. We moved in together 3 weeks into dating and we now own a home together.

Modern

Traditional! we have been together for almost 5 years, but a lot of that was high school and college so we will be waiting until we are married to live together!

Modern, we’ve been together for over five years and have lived together for almost 4 years.

Definitely modern. We kind of dated on and off for a bit while other life stuff was happening, and then moved in together within three months of it being official (we had known each other for two years at this point). We bought a house together a year later and will have lived together over 3 years by the wedding. We discuss finances regularly and it's a very natural and easy conversation. My FH came into the relationship with a dog who is now mine as well.

Modern. We lived together after a year, bought a house at 2 years. We talked finances around 2 weeks of dating. We both had pets already.

We were in LATE 20's when we started dating. We weren't looking for a casual thing, we wanted to make sure we were on the same page very early other wise we would have called it quits.

Modern, we live together and have 3 kids together.

Unintentionally traditional. We are long distance. He lives in Calgary (Canada) and I live in SoCal. It's been this way since the beginning. And once we get married we'll start working on the visa process, so it will probably be another year or so before we get to live together. But if we lived in the same city, we would have moved into together years ago.

Modern. I was nervous about it at first because that is a big step to take before marriage (grew up with traditional values), but after 1.5 years, I've gotten over that nervousness. It also helps because there won't (shouldn't) be any surprises after getting married. We don't currently own a pet due to living in an apartment plus my allergies.

Modern: We dated long distance for 2 1/2 years before he moved in. We discussed finances around the 2 year mark when we seriously discussed living together, now we are pretty involved in each others banking decisions.

Modern. I moved in months in to us offically dating (we have known each other our whole lives & previously date). He owns the house, I own the new cars that were purchased while together. We share bills & responsibilities, we each have 2 kids from previous marriages, I brought over & continue to add pets to the house...6 cats currently (not big enough for the dog ee want). By the time we are married it will have just past 8 yrs offically but hung out as best friends for 4 yrs prior to that. Wouldn't change a thing.

Modern! We have an apartment, which is where we will be after our wedding this fall. We will purchase our first home in a couple more years after he is out of the Air Force!

Definitely modern. Life’s too short to live apart from someone because of outdated traditions. We want to spend every moment we can together even after 6 years.

We dated for a year, got pregnant and got engaged and have been together for 3 years and love together for 1 year and now we are finally getting married this summer.

Traditional! We very firmly believed in not living together before getting married.

Modern. We have been together 8 years and lived together for almost a year and a half

Modern!

We met when we were 16, bought our house & got engaged on the same day when we were 20, got our puppy shortly after moving in! We'll have been together for 6 years exactly on our wedding day!

We are everything in that graph. He moved in after six months, we have a fur baby and I could not marry someone I couldn't discuss finances with
