Thank you Shanika. Life is so crazy I have a very good relationship with FFIL and I had just talked to him on Tuesday and wondered why he was at home but he always says everything is fine. FH has been down on himself because FFIL called him either Monday or Tuesday to see how FH was doing and he is beating his self up because he said it should have been the other way around and that he should have went to check on him Wednesday morning. I keep telling FH it's not his fault and he did nothing wrong.

Prayers goes out to you and the family. I know what you are going through and it hurts a lot. Try to make sure you are their for one another and just keep praying. God hear all prayers. And he knows what's best. This is when your family well become a lot closer than you think. A family that prays together stays together. Keep us updated.

Aw Destiny, don't even worry about that, we should have cut you more slack I think! I'm so sorry you've gone through many rough things as of late. :Hugs!:

The staff cannot release information to anyone that is not authorized, due to HIPPA laws. They are in violation and can be fined/fired! Additionally, they are not supposed to say things to the family like that. I'd talk to your FFILs case worker (each patient has one) and give them the names of the nursing staff that are treating the family badly. They can remove them from his care.

As for the 14 days thing, I am not sure that they can legally do that. It may be an insurance thing, but it isn't up to the nursing staff to dictate that. There are rehab facilities that he can be transferred to that will continue QUALITY care. The hospital cannot force the family into decisions.

That being said, I am praying for your family. These things are not easy and being a rock in the midst of choas is difficult, so I am praying for you too... that you may have the strength to be there for your FH and his family.

You and your FH's family will be in my prayers. God makes miracles happen, and your FFIL's miracle may be right around the corner.

@Wonderful thank you the family has definitely gotten a lot closer, family members that didn't get along before are definitely being there for one another it is truly a blessing to see. @AB Z yeah they say when it rains it pours and bad things come in three's. I have an aunt in the hospital as well and FH had a aunt that passed away and he went to her funeral on Saturday this is definitely a time for prayer. And thank's for the hugs it is well needed and will be passed on to the family when I go to the hospital later. @ Mrs. L thank you and the 14 days I think is how long he can be on the machine but then they will need to do a trac(sp?) on him after that.

Destiny, I'm so sorry to hear of this tragedy. In the name of Jesus, I rebuke sickness and brain damage from Mr. Harris. I'm asking our Heavenly Father to wrap his arms around him and your family...provide comfort, healing and peace. I will certainly keep you all in my prayers.

Destiny-you should tell the nurses that I said they should be glad I wasn't there otherwise I would have said you should be glad that the only thing that is keeping me from punching you in the face for that comment is the law and kicked her out!

The brain is the most complicated organ in the whole body. I have some brain damage from birth (long story) and the doctors told my parents I wouldn't know them from a car. 25 years later, I am getting married and having a baby.

Keep up the postive thoughts and prayers and remember that even tho he is in a coma he does hear you!

God Almighty has the last say tight hugs and lots of prayer for you and your future family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! stay lifted and positive.

And we will continue to stand on this. ***Update*** I went to visit FMIL today at the hospital with FFIL and they may or may not be doing a "trac" on him because I guess it's only supposed to be three days on the machine. So FMIL will be talking with the doctors and seeing what needs to be done.

Thank you CeCy I hope everything turns out well not only if it doesn't turn out how everyone is hoping but for everyone to be able to except whatever happens. But I'm glad FH is optimistic about his father's recovery even though what he heard what the doctor said.
