Life and Family Related; Prayers and good thoughts are welcomed.......

Cont.... Brain damage and only has a 1% chance of making it through. Please Keep the "Harris' Family" in your thoughts and prayers if you pray. I gave the last name so that you know who to pray for. On top of them getting that information, the nurses that having been caring for him have been very unsensitive to the family and their needs. FH's family is very spiritual and believe that God will heal FFIL but the nurses have been giving information out to people other than the family members. And have been really negative and giving the "two-cents" on everything that is going on. My FSIL was praying in the room quietly with her dad and one of the nurses over heard her saying "You know the only reason he is alive is because of this machine" in a very nasty tone. So please pray or send good thoughts to this family in their time of need. And also for my FH because he says he feels like he is in a horrible dream and can't wake up. And as of right now he is not ready to talk about the cont...

Cont... the situation so I don't know what to say or do. I try to keep the home stress free and have been at the hospital everyday since Wednesday. Everyone is very hopeful so that's a good thing. But FH was in the room when a Neurologist basically said that his father may never wake up again and he has been in a cloud every since then. They also told the family they can only keep him on life support for 14days so I'm not sure what the decision is going to be at that time.

I know you are feeling helpless where FH is concerned just be there when he needs you, its a tough situation and he may not always seem to appreciate you but he will need you even if he acts like he doesn't. He has thanked me for being there for him already and he hasn't broken down and cried yet but I just want to be prepared for when he does. @AB Z hopefully you were able to catch my apology on my last post, but thank you they have already reported two nurses and put a sign in the room saying "Good care is having a positive attitude." Thank you L Turtle and Future Mrs. Reid. We have been saying the same prayer.

Will be praying for good health and strength for the Harris family. Also praying that God will touch the hearts of the staff, or at least remove them from the situation.

I am thinking of your family I can't believe how inconsiderate the nurses were being. He is alive because GOD chose for him to survive, and hopefully with a strong recovery soon. I know it will be a tough decision to make, so I pray you guys can make the best choice possible for the situation.

As a nurse myself I know that half of what we do is caring for the family and patient. It may not be physical but I always offer word of encouragement and even pray with my patients. Shame on those nurses and that hospital. I can not see the doctors only allowing 14 days. As long as the insurance will pay they have to leave him on life support. I will pray for you, FH and the family. All things are possible through God.

@Margurita thank you. @ Jessica that's exactly how the family is thinking even though the reports have came back negative they are only trusting in God's final decision. @Chuwana unfornately the hospital he went to is not very good in the way they care for their patients so the family is trying to find out how to go about getting him moved to another hospital. They have basically washed their hands with situation and that's not good at all in regards to the correct care for him. FFIL only gets one nurse that will do what you do with the family and respect their wishes but everyone else is horrible and inconsiderate.

Hey Destiny, I'm praying for your family. God is a healer and he knows what is best! I pray also for the staff and that God touches their hearts to have better bedside manners! I pray that the Harris family find peace eventually in whatever happens.

The family is in my thoughts and prayers, hang in there and let God do His work.

Thank you Shauna I am definitely praying for peace as well. So far there are 7children including FH and 3 have accepted the situation and have been in a peaceful state of mind, but the other four all the brothers are really having a hard time with it. Especially one brother that continues to go off on the doctors and nurses everytime they give him bad news or does something he doesn't like.

Thank you Dani I believe they did or are in the process of reporting the nurses. I think my FMIL has already spoken to one of them about their behavior and was given a number to call.
