Let's talk about sex...

I seen a while back a thread about having sex on the wedding night whether you thought it would happen or not. But my friend asked me if we were holding out the week of the wedding until that night to make it more special. Anyone doing this?

Nope. DH's love language is *definitely* 'physical affection'. If I suggested going a week without sex, he'd probably suggest cancelling the wedding. Smiley sexy

To each their own but it doesn't make sense to me. Having sex makes us more relaxed and helps us feel connected. We had sex that morning right before the guys dropped the girls off at our house to get ready with me and picked DH up to get ready at the hotel. As stressful as the time right before the wedding is I can't imagine doing that to myself! We have gone without sex before due to trips or even just early in our relationship before that was happening but at this point I certainly wouldn't self impose that. Then we had sex again as soon as we got in the door with the dress still on!

Got married yesterday and frankly we were too exhausted for it to be some mind blowing special thing. We ate hot pockets...

But in regards to OP I don't anticipate we will do anything night of. We're both used to the too exhausted we'll have fun another day routine. I'm sure we'll be too tired and we'll probably have our kids with us so yeah, no. And we aren't holding out beforehand.

We've been together for 7 years and have an amazing sex life...not bad for a couple of 40-something grandparents! Smiley winking

We've already been trying to come up with ways to sneak away for a quickie at the hotel between the ceremony and party...although I doubt that'll work :s

We are not waiting by choice but we will have some guests staying in our house so we will have little privacy with all the added exhaustion i'm sure will make for holding our a little till the wedding night

He's a virgin and always wanted to wait until his wedding night. So we are and have been patiently waiting.
