I want to see future brides' engagement rings! Is there any significance of your ring? Share below!

I agree that the meaningful comment was rude, considering all engagement rings are meaningful.

However, OP is right- diamonds are not a unique choice for an engagement ring stone. Literally every engaged/married woman I know except myself- friends, family, coworkers- has a diamond center stone. They are certainly the overwhelmingly dominant choice for engagement rings, which is fine. Heirloom stones are certainly unique in that they are heirlooms, but the stone type is not.

Since there may be some confusion, when I said that in my initial post, I wanted a ring that was different from the tradition of having diamonds and have a ring/stone that had symbolism. A ring that had a meaning behind it (morganite, a divine love stone) because that's what I wanted. I was not trying to make anyone feel bad about having a diamond. Hence why I added, "no offense" so no one becomes sensitive about that. I was only trying to help ladies show their non-diamond rings and ask for their story behind their rings.

Ahhhh that makes sense now. I was wondering why people were getting offended. I was wondering what the heck I was missing lol.

That makes sense now. She changed the post but now I get why a few of you who saw the original were getting defensive. Wording things definitely makes a difference.

Beautiful rings all throughout this post!

Here’s mine. Simulated diamond from a lovely seller on Etsy. I wanted a clear stone but didn’t really care whether it was a diamond or not. This one was super friendly on the wallet. And no blood shed!

Saying no offense doesn't mean people won't be taken aback by it, especially when you call out one gem and follow it with what you did. I understand you didn't have mean intentions behind your post. I would go back and edit your main post if I were you, especially since diamonds do have symbolism behind them (purity and love).

I love seeing the unique stones in this thread. Beautiful rings!

My FH was originally looking at diamond and CZ rings, but I wanted something a little different looking. His mom had already suggest sapphires to him so he started looking at that. He got a little overwhelmed and asked for my help, which I loved since I knew he wanted me to love it. We decided on this the band is white gold, the center stone is a sapphire and the outer stones are black diamonds.

You just did it again "a ring that had a meaning behind it". A diamond ring can and does have a lot of meaning behind it. You should just think about how your word things. It's unnecessary to put down another's choice just to promote your own.

My center stone is Morganite also. He chose this all on his own & when I looked up the meaning of the stone, it made it even more special. My only input was Rose Gold.

Mine is rose gold but he had to talk me into it before I tried it on. Once on I fell in love with it.

I think OP didn't necessarily mean to offend, but yeah it kind of comes across that way. "No offense" but "Divine love" isn't found in a ring or a stone...I'm sure plenty to moissanite/diamond/ruby/onyx/ whatever gem wearing people have both crap marriages and also freaking amazing and loving ones. So, I've looked thru this post, all of the pics, and really all of you have gorgeous rings. I am sure they all fit your/s future partners personalities amazingly and any ring given with a promise is SO special. Just got mine cleaned today, it is a diamond, (srry...lol) but here it is nonetheless, I am so proud of it and GRATEFUL for the amount of time and consideration FH put into selecting it for me:
