I want to see future brides' engagement rings! Is there any significance of your ring? Share below!

I told my FH that I absolutely didn't want diamonds. They are way to expensive especially now that they can be made in a lab for much cheaper and get better quality out of them. I also told him I want something simple that doesn't poke out to much. He custom designed my ring and had our birthstones placed in it.

Mine is rose gold with smoky quartz and custom also. I didn’t want my center stone to be a diamond because I just wanted something different. I’m a Christmas fanatic and he proposed at Christmas time so his inspiration for my ring was a snowflake. Its perfect!!

I love the ring we picked. It has a wood texture and was made for me custom. It has a mossanite stone and is white gold. I am so pleased. Ken and Dana Design did a great job. I 💯 love my ring.

Agreed - IMO what makes a ring special and unique is the sentiment behind it and the fact the your FS found this specific ring that they felt was perfect enough for you to ask the biggest question they can with it. Not the stone that sits in the center.

I think all stones are beautiful, and love the new trend of alternative stones for Engagement rings. That doesn't mean my Diamond wasn't just as special as anything else though.

Nice to know the ring my H designed for me isn't unique or meaningful because it has a diamond (which he inherited from his mother).

Honestly, I think by adding that line in your OP you probably broke CGs. Kindness Matters.

Darn, guess my ring isn't unique or meaningful even though my FH spent hours at the jeweler designing my ring... but it's a diamond.

All of these rings are beautiful, but I don't think anyone's ring is less meaningful or unique because of the stone in it.

Why are you so upset? I don't see anyone saying your ring is less meaningful or unique because it's a diamond. There are so many ring threads. Don't take it to heart if there's one for non diamonds. Most people have diamond rings. I have one. I love it. I don't feel less unique because if it. And I don't feel like these types of posts are in any ways saying mine isn't special.

I didn't want a traditional ring either. Mine is aquamarine for my birthday month.

I didn't want anyone to feel sensitive for me not highlighting diamonds. I wanted to have the ladies with alternative rings to have a platform to show off theirs. Too many times, when someone asks a future bride to show their ring, and it is not a diamond, people want to know why they chose to have something other than a diamond. This post is for those women to share their significance. That's all.

Because OP literally dissed diamonds in her post stating, "no offense to brides that have diamonds, but I wanted to have a stone that was unique and meaningful". As if diamonds are not unique or meaningful. I don't think OP meant it to come off that way, but it did.

This is what OP said, "Morganite is a stone of Divine Love and no offense to brides that have diamonds, but I wanted to have a stone that was unique and meaningful." This implies that diamonds are not unique or meaningful. This is why some PPs took offense. When someone says, "no offense BUT..." that's usually a clue. Me? I couldn't care less what a stranger says but I can see how others can find it offensive.

FH designed it all on his own. The main diamond is his great grandma's stone from her engagement ring. There are two smaller diamonds, one on each side of the main stone; those are from my great grandpa. I'm a nurse and mentioned to him that a lot of girls at work don't even wear their rings to work because gloves get stuck on the stones. So he had it designed to be inset (or whatever the right word for it is). It's not a ring I would have picked but I absolutely love it. He put so much time, effort, and thought into designing it.

Thank you! I was only trying to give the brides with alternative rings a platform to show off their rings and share their meaning behind why they wanted that ring.

GIRLLLLL Mine is morganite and rose gold too!!! I had no idea morganite meant divine love! That’s actually quite fitting for our relationship.
