So... I was in college. There was this guy I knew from my 2 week stint as a coxswain for the men's crew team. Really nice guy, very tall, super awkward.

He asked me to meet him for dinner and came to meet me at the music building before we walked over to the dining hall. Apparently it was a date in the dining hall! How weird is that???

    These are hilarious!

I haven't really had any awkward dating experiences, however I can't say that I have ever really "dated." I have had 2 serious relationships and they both stemmed from friendships, so I haven't had any weird "first dates."

My worst date was a double blind date with a roommate in college. They decided they wanted to do a piggy back race. I wasn't 100% cool with it because I hate being picked up, but I agreed anyway. Long story short, this fool falls and sends me flying face first onto the concrete. I scraped up my arms and legs pretty bad. Then when the date was over, he said I remind him of his sister. Such a waste of my freakin time!

    These are hilarious LOL

Have you all seen grandmas boy? Ya know that guy that is the super nerd that like..flattens himself against the wall so he is "invisible?" Yeah I went on a date with his twin LMAO

I had just seen that movie with a friend of mine and then I met this guy from myspace or something, and he acted just like that. At dinner he didnt even talk...like at all. It was SO awkward. Then when the bill came he was like, um I only have X amount of dollars. He asked me out...so silly me assumed when he asked to take me to dinner he was going to..i kept trying to make small talk and he was just not talking, like at all! the waitress knew too and kept giving me these sympathetic looks when she came over lmao. I didnt even want to go to a movie afterwards but he insisted so we went :/ It felt SO awkward sitting next to him. That was the longest movie..

Funny because we actually did keep in touch over the years and is married. He was fine to talk to online but off line...omg lol

This was an experience that I had with an ex at the time while we were in the process of getting back together ( a lot of yo yo dating with us!). He had invited me over for New Years and when I got there, he was not alone. He had also invited another girl who was interested in him and they were "just friends". Neither of us expected the other and it was SO awkward!!! he kept asking me a question, then he would ask her the same thing, he would hug me, then hug her, just basically duplicate his actions with us so we didn't feel left out? lol. I still can't believe we both stayed there with him until the countdown! guess we felt like we were in competition for him or something, the freaking scumbag! I know I should have run for the hills after this but he ended up dating her at one point and when they broke up coming back to me (we dated for all 4 years of highschool). I became friends with her at one point, he cheated on her with me, cheated on me with her. So yea VERY AWKWARD!!!!

The one that takes the cake was the naked fiasco with my fh's dad! The fh and I had been dating for awhile and we had plans that night ,he was stuck at work fand he asked me to come pick up the key to his apt so I could grab a change of clothes for him ,so I do,and I get to his apt ,let myself in and his dad is sleeping butt naked on the couch! Let me give just a tiny bit of backstory, his dad was in town (suupppposed to be at the movies with his sister, apt was supposed to be empty lol) so I didn't see anything, but I knew there was enough skin showing that things could get reeeally awkward if he woke up and I was there lol! More back story my fh was born and raised in S.Africa in not one the best neighborhoods, one night someone broke into the house and his dad scared this guy away with a really big knife apparently,so this whole scenario is playing through my head while Im standing there so I decide the fh is just going to have to come back himself and get his things,so I turn to

Leave and the floor creaks really loud and he moves and I freak out thinking he's going to wake up and attack me (we hadn't met yet) so I run into fh's room and I got under the blankets and he comes in and starts touching my leg saying wake up my boy, trying to wake up my "fh" so I kind of turn a little and say whhhaaaat(groggily) And he practically jumps out of his skin and runs out of the room, so now I'm really ready to just get the hell out there soo I grab some clothes and I'm walking out saying goodbye over my shoulder and he asks if I want coffee so I turn to him and I can see by the his rosy cheeks that he's incredibly embarrassed so I try to make things ok and I sit down at the kitchen table, he comes walking in wearing the smallest pair of briefs I've ever seen lol and he's totally comfortable, starts asking me questions about me and fh and my school and work etc..almost a normal conversational and then he says that he'd offer for us to watch a movie but he can't figure out

the DVD player soo and I quote he says "maybe we should just have sex" his dad has a really bad sense of humor lol and expects people just to "get" him... Of course I didn't know that at the time so I stammered something about my date with fh and how I couldn't be late and that I would have someone come by and fix the DVD player lol I had no idea what I was saying ,I just needed to get out of there stat!

It's a big joke in the family now lol, we bought him pjs when we went to visit last time..sorry this is so long ladies, just thought I'd share and give you all a good laugh!

So I went through a phase where it was all about quantity and not quality and it was not uncommon for me to go out with one guy on friday then another on saturday this storry is one of those. So I go out with this cute a older guy on friday and have a blast we had met at a dance club the week before and he asked me out to dinner it was fabulouse I really liked him...Then Saturday have a date with a guy my age. My cousin is setting me up on this date and it's a double with him & his girlfriend, we all go over to my dates house, and it turns out his big brother is visiting and is calling the girl he went out with to see if she wants to join us all. My phone starts ringing and Mr Friday walks downstairs on his cell. Nr Fiday was Mr Saturdays brother. My cousin tells me I turned about 6 shades of red. I unfortunately occaisionally see them both at parties etc thrown by my cousin so the embarassment will never die and neither will ever let me live it down

I was 19 and living near London with my parents. There was no one my age at any of my jobs, and I was feeling very isolated, so I decided to respond to an ad in Time Out. This was long before the Internet, and meeting through classified ads was much more looked down upon than it is today. But the guy sounded interesting--his ad mentioned an interest in politics, which I shared--so I decided to give it a try. But I just made up a story to my parents about how I'd met him.

The date was awful. It turned out that our politics were entirely opposite, so that didn't exactly qualify as a shared interest. And we really didn't have anything else in common, either.

But what made that date truly excruciating was that the next woman that guy dated turned out to be a student of my father's. And he told her about me. And she told my father. So my fibs about where I had met him got found out, and I got a lecture from my father about how only losers found dates in the classifieds.

Hmm lets see.....well I was in 7th grade so I was 12 years old and this white guy had the biggest crush on me I wasn't really attracted to him at all and one day he was hanging out with our group since his friend was dating my friend and I went downstairs for a bit and he followed me and then just out of the blue he asked me out.....in my head I was like OMG I'm not attracted to him at all and thought no but then ended up saying yes because I felt so bad for him (he had Cory Matthews from Boy Meets World hair)....I literally dated him for like a few weeks until I made one of my friends break up with him right before we had our presentation for Health Class (we were partners)...yeah super awkward after that!!!!

Back when I was a little hoochie I had different dates with different guys all the time well. Boy 1 called me and told me he was in the city and wanted to hang but I was with boy 2. Well Boy 1 came over to boy 2s frat house. I had one outside and one inside and would. Go inside see one and then go outside to see the other. Well I was outside with boy 1 and boy 2 came out ( my firend failed at watching him she was suppose to keep him inside) so then we leave and I run into my x (kinda we datted nothing offical) as we are getting pizza and he tells me I broke his heart and had infedeliity. I told him hes the one who said he didnt want me to be his gf. He was like crying as we where talking. I was really drunk and thought it was funny. So I swore off datting after this night of drama. Next night I met FH. So it took forever (4 months) for us to actually date.

My entire experience was awkward in a way. FH was in love with me for the longest time and I had no Idea. I kept him in the friend zone.

Gotta be the first date where I discovered that I can not handle even a small amount of tequila and threw up all over myself in front of him. Surprisingly, he still kissed me goodnight and even asked me out again.

11 years after graduating high school, I was asked out via FB by a guy who had been pretty popular back in HS. We had a great first date so for the 2nd, my friend and her BF came along for a double date.

Halfway through the date, it got weird. I mentioned that I thought American Psycho was the worst movie ever and he got super offended and started trying to make a case for why it's actually the best movie ever and he couldn't let it go! He actually started acting pouty and turned his back to me to watch the band that was playing. But it gets better! Later, my friend accidentally knocked my drink (a bloody mary, so pretty messy) on my lap and some splashed onto him. He shot out of his chair and went to get napkins. He stood by the bar cleaning himself off and never brought me any to clean myself off! I don't even think he noticed any got on me, he was so concerned with himself! It was pretty much downhill after that...and yet he still sent me a text later saying he had a great time!

I could tell you a million...but one of my favorites (because it's a shorter story) is the one with the Navy boy. We dated for about 2 weeks. Not a relationship, just hanging out. We spent an evening at the bar, and I apparently don't handle tequila that well. We go back to my place to have some fun, and we're naked on my bed. I'm pretty impressed with myself for being so adventurous, so I decide to change positions and show him my skills. When I went to flip, I misjudged the edge of the bed....I did a somersault, completely naked, as I fell to the floor. I thought if I got up quick, he'd never even know (ha!), but I saw him sitting there, covering his face with his hands, cracking up and asking if I was okay. I just grabbed him and made out with him and carried on like nothing even happened. We never talked about it again...

I remember this one guy I dated...let's call him T. Our first date was amazing! It's actually the best first date I've ever had.

He was a drummer in a band and took me to dinner and then to a drumming session at a studio. He taught me how to drum and because I learned things so quickly we had a jam session (with him on the mic; me on the drums). The second date was the awkward one, because he spent most of the time talking about his ex. Plus his roomate seemed to be more interested in me that he did. Not sure why his roomate was even with us on a date! LOL!

Hahaha, I met FH dating his good friend and roommate... We pretty much instantly decided that we were a better match than his friend and I were, but things were pretty awkward for a while! Amazingly, we're all still friends!
