Left over wedding stuff!

Fatima, on November 5, 2011 at 6:14 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 15

Where do the hitched brides get rid of their stuff anyways?? I dont want to just throw them away-- they're so pretty!!

Anyone want some of my stuff? lmao! Its so hard letting go too... im never going to use that awesome twig ball again, and its taking up space.... little space, but hey, we have a little apartment!

Im assuming everyone sells their stuff on Ebay, but i was wondering if there was a wedding donation website or something or another... that everyone tends to flock to for this stuff?

I'm giving mine to my wedding planner. They're a very young company just starting out, didn't charge me a lot, and can use it. Otherwise I would just give it away on CL or donate it. I kept a couple of keepsakes though :-) I checked wedingbee once in a while and it seems to me most stuff sits there for a long time. I don't want to keep 30 vases for a year.

There was an article in the local newspaper, this morning, on this subject.

A lady came up with a great idea.

EBay, weddingbee.com classifieds, craiglist- there are options. I used Craigslist for my table cloths only. I sold a few items on eBay.

I would find a wedding classified website and also I've heard of people selling stuff on craigslist.

I actually found all of my decor on Craigslist...it's nice because there's no shipping involved -- we just met at my bank for the exchange. Good luck Smiley smile

I did a ton of shopping on CL and found that lots of people use it for wedding items. Items that were posted in the morning were often sold the same day...if it was in a specific color, it took a week or two...but would usually sell Smiley smile

Good luck selling your items. If you want to donate your items I would highly suggest looking into something like this in your area!! Its a truly amazing program and really encourages art/creative uses/DIY -
