I'm a bit late to this party but at the last wedding I went to the DJ had to announce over the mic for parents to keep their children off of his equipment and out from behind the DJ table.

2 kids also took ALL of the glowsticks that were meant as dance floor favors.

Oh and the photo booth is basically 4000 photos of the same three kids.

LOL at 0845? YES! Vodka it is!!! Add some Red Bull to it!

Lol absolutely NOTHING @Tiffanny, except that I spend wayyyyy more time on here than I should. I guess once you've posted enough you earn the elusive fifth star, and supposedly people take you seriously on here because you're a "veteran" WW poster. It means nothing, but Out The Window and LadyCrystal got theirs before I did, so I was whiny and wanted mine ASAP

Wait - did I already share this story? I can't remember...

So I went to my first wedding when I was 1. My mom was her BFF's MOH and was also pregnant at the time. I hear this story about once a year.

I was left with an aunt, but there was some sort of emergency and during hair and makeup, my father had to go and get me. I'm told that I was so quiet, that no one realized there was a baby in the church. If I had started to cry, my father was ready to take me outside and out of the way. During the receiving line, my father worked the phones in the rectory (This was way before cellphones existed, you young 'uns) and was able to get the other set of grandparents to come get me for the reception.

So I understand if parents can't/won't have a babysitter, but parents also need to recognize that at someone else's wedding, the day doesn't revolve around them and their kids. They have to do their best to not inconvenience the bride, the groom, and the other guests.

That's what I was trying to get at in my comments. While I personally don't see anything wrong with kids at weddings as long as their parents can handle them, I would not bring them to an adult only wedding because it's NOT MY wedding. I respect the bride and groom.
