My FH and I are looking for creative ways to get us to kiss at the reception besides clinking of glasses- I can't stand that noise! :-/ My FH is a Basketball coach and thought it would be fun to have it related to that or sports. My FH is a Basketball coach and thought it would be fun to have it related to that or sports. Other friends of ours have done shooting a mini basketball in a hoop and if you make it they kiss, but I want to try to have something different if we can think of something. TIA!

Maybe the clinking of the glasses is a regional thing. For people who've never heard of this, the couple doesn't tell people they need to clink the glasses to make them kiss. In fact, most couples don't like this idea because it takes away from what little time they have to eat dinner. Wedding guests do this as a fun, but annoying, tradition.

OP - I went to one of FH's cousin's weddings and they had a box of silver and gold wrapped Hershey kisses. Guests would come up to the box, and if they picked a gold kiss, the couple kissed. If they picked a silver kiss, they had to find someone to kiss.

I would just ignore the clinking and keep eating my meal or sipping my wine. Kissing on demand so other people can awkwardly stare is unnecessary.

Just kiss. Why do you need to be prompted to kiss?

So much wasted energy on ideas that won't stick with your guests!! Similar to people that waste days on a "hashtag dilemma"

Keep it tasteful. Nobody wants to watch CPR/Mouth to Mouth at a wedding.
