Kings Table Decor help!

Amanda, on July 6, 2019 at 8:53 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 8
We are having one long (32 feet 😬) Kings table for our wedding party and their guests. It will run down the center of the room with rounds on each side for the remaining guests. We will sit together on one side of the table and our bridal party will sit on our side with their guests across from them. Here is my question. We are going for a southern 20’s summer theme with light blues, magnolia bouquets and white ceramic birds as decor. Our chargers will be the ones pictured above. I’m trying to save some money (and some fliers lives) and use silks on our reception tables. Do y’all like the look of the Magnolia Flower runner (White) or the Peony Flower Runner (Pink)? I’m so torn because I love the Magnolia but I’m afraid it will be too much white with our table clothes being white. We are using blush and blue as accents so the pink flowers might give the table that pop of color. We will also have a few Candelabras with white tapered candles and hurricane candles to accompany the runner and birds to add height.

I like the magnolias! I think the green creates enough color so it’s not just pure white and white and will look good. You could always combine the two flowers or throw in a different pink flower with the magnolias if you want.

I'd go with the pink for the tables with white tablecloths. I think you're right it needs a bit of color. I think the white on white looks kind of wintery but this is one internet girl's opinion.

    Amanda,

I see where your dilemma is! For me, it’s hard to balance my need for color with my need for a “clean” look. I love the Magnolias but do believe that you would end up wanting a bit more color.
is there any way you could add crystals or pearls to the mix? Some kind of neutral that would allow light to bounce off of it? You could stream strings of them along with the vines or “sprinkle” them on top once placed. This won’t necessarily add color, but it would help pull colors that are already present! I would love to see them together if you had space! Or a mixture of the two colors with a variation in between (so either adding white to one or light blush to the other). If I were choosing between the two, I would go for the Peonies, but I would make sure to have enough of that color in other decorations so that it wouldn’t contrast completely.

Thank you your post and we wish you the absolute best with planning!

Thanks for the suggestions y'all!! I think we are going to go with the white magnolia's and pop in some of the pink flowers and some of the greenery from the other vine. Basically creating a hybrid runner from the two. Great ideas!! Smiley heart
