Kid friendly or Adult only wedding?

Is everyone (or was everyone) invited to your wedding? Was it adult only or were kids also allowed to come? My fiance and I are doing an adult only wedding with an exception to the kids who are in the wedding party! What about you and did you have a reason why you chose that route?

We chose to have an adult only wedding/reception because we attended weddings and receptions where children were guests and the chaos that ensued was mortifying. After attending enough of these, it was easy to make the decision. We did have our children in the wedding, and they were at our reception for the first hour.

I am a kid person, I have spent the past 10 years working with kids. I love kids. Not inviting kids would mean a lot of people I know can't or won't come. I love them, I love their kids. Kids & Adults are invited. I will also have 5 kids in the bridal party.

We are having an adult only wedding, with the expecting of my fiancé’s 3 nieces who are in the wedding party. There was no way we were going to host 30+ kids at our wedding! If there’s a time to be shamelessly selfish, this is it.

Not having them at your wedding doesn't mean you don't love kids though. My husband and I have a son as well as my stepson. Besides them and my nieces we just want kids at our wedding. It has nothing to do with being a "kid person" or not.

I agree with that completely! My husband and I decided the same thing besides our son, my stepson & my niece and nephew who are in our bridal party, no other kids will be in attendance.
