Keep or Skip: Spotlight Dances?

Keeping! First dance, father daughter, mother son, and joint step parents and in law dance. Every parent dances lol! We've skipped other traditions so it's less overwhelming and won't be doing full songs.

Keeping. First dance together was one of the only traditions my FH cared about and since my dad will be the only one our parents at the wedding I want to honor him with a dance.

Keeping! First dance, father/daughter and FH is dancing with his two sisters since his mother has passed away.

Both lol...we are having our own first dance but no other dances.

Keeping! We'll have our first dance and parent dances. I'll have two different father daughter dances though. One with my dad that raised me. And one with my biological father.

Definitely are doing the dances but i cant decide on songs for each

Keep, but only because they're sweet! Again, being close with my dad, he's really looking forward to our dance. FH and I love to dance and definitely plan to do a first dance and FH and FMIL are also planning on dancing.

Our first dance will be before dinner and the other two will be after dinner to kind of break them up.

Keep! We did all three traditional spotlight dances. I loved those 2 minutes with both my H and my dad.

Skip! We don’t like dancing and he’s never slow danced before! Definitely not into this!

We will do them, but we will do shorter songs, because we don't like dancing. We aren't skipping them, because they mean so much to our families.

First dance yes, parent dances no.

We are doing them. It's kind of funny that for a long time, I didn't think I'd ever get married. And, what made me the most sad about it was thinking I'd never have the chance to dance with my father at my wedding. Now, I'm looking forward to it and hope that my dad will feel up to it (he has back and hip issues). We're definitely cutting the dance short.

For FH, his mother passed about 2 years ago, and he thought he'd dance with his oldest sister instead. But, his stepmom jumped right in, assuming he'd dance with her, so he's doing that even though they're not very close. He may dance with his oldest sister too. Again, keeping all the songs to 2 minutes or less.

And, we're also doing our first dance as a couple. There was never any question about that for us.

First dance yes we are keeping and we are also dancing with our parents. I’ve never heard of a spotlight dance. That sounds like it would be a little weird and uncomfortable. Idk I just wouldn’t do it

Keeping the first dance, and the father/daughter and mother/son. This is one aspect my dad is looking forward to since I'm the first daughter to get married!

Keep. These dances are so beautiful and it's emotional to watch the interaction between the bride/groom, father/daughter etc. I love them and often shed a tear or 2

First dance yes, and this will be impromptu, either during our beach cocktail hour or back at the cabin during dessert!

Keeping; but I want to do them with our children instead!
