Keep or Cancel: Sleeping apart the night before the wedding?

I want to cancel and have the night before be like a normal night where we go to bed together with our 2 cats. Hopefully keeping it feeling normal will cut the nerves some, especially since by the wedding we'll have lived together for 6 years so being apart will feel wrong. But last we talked about it, he's leaning more towards keep. So that's definitely something that will have to be discussed again.

Im keeping to this tradition. I want him to be super excited on our wedding day to see me for the first time!

Cancel. There was no way my husband and I would have done this. We've been living together for over 4 years and have been together over 5, nope. Same bed. It's what is comfortable to us.

Keep. I don't want him to see me the day of until I'm all ready. We live together but I still want that 'wow' moment.

We stayed apart, it was strange, I definitely missed him, but it meant so much to have that moment together holding hands around the edge of a door before the wedding and seeing him standing there at the altar in that suit for the first time...I think my heart nearly stopped. It all felt just...right.

Great question. We have not talked about it, but more than likely we will cancel this tradition.

Keep! It is already hard for us to sleep apart for a night. We are not doing a first look either, so the excitement of (1) just getting to see each other after that length of time and (2) seeing each other on our big day is going to make it that much more exciting and meaningful for us.

I dont get a free room and I dont plan on getting ready there but I figured since we are getting married an hour from home (without traffic) that on the morning of it will help get things started early and then the boys can hang out there until it gets closer to ceremony time.

Cancel, we have a hard time sleeping when we are apart and it's just more money to be spent.

Cancel. I'd rather spend my last day engaged with my FH and wake up next to him the day of our wedding.

Cancel. Being long distance, and loving my man so much I couldn't bear to be away from him for the night. No need either.

Keeping. We won’t sleep together until after the I do’s.
