Keep or Cancel: Reception Speeches?

Keep. They are very important to both of us.

Keeping...but would happily cancel. We are giving a max time for each person to avoid the lengthy sleep inducing types...will let the DJ handle that.

We're not allotting any time for speeches other than the one we will give. My sister is my MOH who thinks she's funny but is actually borderline rude and his brother is kind of long winded so we're just not having them speak at all.

Keep, I love to hear friends stories about our pasts. However my MOH will be in charge of making sure the BM doesn't go of the rails on his, lol

We are leaving it up to the BM and MOH to decide. We don't want to make anyone do a speech if they aren't comfortable.

Keep! We will have 6 speeches, which is a LOT, but we will let everyone know that we'd like their speeches to be less than 3 minutes each. We have

The Matron and Maid are my sisters though so maybe they'll combine theirs, I'm not sure.

I guess we're keeping. My father, who both hates public speaking and does it as part of his job, said he was working on something that wouldn't make him cry.

So, we'll figure it out, because I'm a daddy's girl, and if he wants to speak, he gets the mic.

Cancel, they tend to be drawn out and some of the groomsmen I know would try to embarrass us...

I would prefer to skip it, my MoH, ughhh I think she could go on for days and it might be too much, his best man would be short and sweet but I'm sure he rather not give a speech.

We had no speeches we just did a toast

We are doing an "Open Mic" so everyone can have a moment.
