Kay's lost my ring!!!!

So I get a call and the lady at Kay's tells me your ring is ready to be picked up from getting resized. Okay.. GREAT!!! I made plans and got off work early because it is a 45 min. drive from my home to there. I get to the store and the lady hands me a ring... but it's NOT my ring! I fliped out and they didnt even say sorry she just said well we will have to research it and will give you a call sometime tomorrow. So if I wasn't already having a bad week I am now!!!!!!!!! Ughhh I told my FH lets just get married in Vegas when we go in May. It hasn't even been 1 month and all this crap keeps going wrong. Just to warn you girls about Kay's take pictures before and make sure they take the picture before they send it off!!

    That is so sad. I love the people who work at my Kay's. They are so wonderful to me. I am sorry that this has happened to you. I hope they are all not like that beacuse I am taking my ring in to get resized the first week in Feb and I certainly don't want them to lose it.

    Did you speak to a manager? If not, please call them asap and talk to a manager.

    If you did speak to a manager, call Corporate. It'll get handled. But call ASAP!

    OMG!!! I would be so mad at them.. I would have gotten into an argument with them right away. I am so sorry this happened to you and I really hope that they can find the ring ASAP. MrsJoseph has great advice! Let us know how it goes!

    Yes I did call the saleslady was the nice one yesterday the manager was the a$$ so i called first thing this morning to corporate and they said wait to hear back from the store give her till noon to call me. Then call corporate right back after speaking with the store. If the store can't bring the ring to my job or house today then they will send me a new ring (but the exact one my FH picked out) and overnight it with a gift card for 2 wedding bands and then the remainder I can do whatever I want with. So that was good but still.... will not replace the fact that they lost my original ring!

    I would be PISSED! That is unacceptable. I work in a customer service environment so when i hear things like this it just makes me so mad! They should have gotten on that right away and at least reassured you more.

    Seems like its going to work out in a way though. At least they are taking responsibility.

    Kristina, I've been there. I sent my husband to get my ring clean and he lost one of my wedding bands. It's material things - it will be ok. I'm waiting to see how much it will cost to replace the band. When we were engaged my husband moved to Vegas for an internship at UNLV. I told him lets get married then. He wanted to wait so even now after 9 months he wished we would have gotten married in Vegas, recorded the ceremony, played it at the reception, and walked in as Mr & Mrs Gray as if the video was live and everyone was at the reception. Not a bad idea is it?

    Your right it will be okay and it would be different if it were me who lost it but the store lost the dang thing!! Not me!! i trust these people to leave an 8k ring with them and they lose it not acceptable at all!! sorry im am a little more mad than "it's just material things"

    Wow, you have every right ot be mad, that is absolutley UNACCEPABLE! If they don't go above and beyond to please you, I would speak up and tell them that even though they replaced the ring and what not, that you're still not happy and you demand a sincer apology from the a$$ manager.

    I'm thinking that whoever the ring belongs to that you got probably has your ring. Hopefully it is just a case of getting them switched. I'm sure it will all work out! But everyone is right, this should never have happened in the first place. I know I would be PI$$ed beyond belief if this happened to me!

    Wow thats crazy. i was thinking the same as jj. that they sent your ring to whoevers ring you have. i hope it all works out.

    Wow i would be so mad too i went to pay on my ring and they had me sign where i had paid over the phone one time then pulled out this other thing for me to sign and it was a payment over the phone but not my card not for my ring i was like no im not gonna sign that and go to jail they got all fussy saying that it was mine until i pulled out my card an showed them the numbers did not match i cant even think about how mad i would be if what happened to you was to happen to me when i got upset over that little thing wow i really hope they find it cause that was very important to you and another ring cant replace it even if it is the same style or looks just like yours

    They just gave me a call and said well we shipped out to 8 other stores across state so it could be in one of those bags. We will have to have each store go back through them all and match them up. I asked "well if someone else got my ring and said yeah that is theirs could they have kept it." Their response was, well we hope the other customer would have let the sales asso. know. Umm if I got the ring that they were sup. to have and they got mine they prob wouldnt have said anything. My FH said some people arent honest when they receive a 8k ring instead of one that cost between 1k and 2k. he is sooo right and that is what really scares me. Smiley sad I just wnat my ring back! and they said they have 60 days to replace it but the corp office said no they will make sure i have one by monday. Smiley smile but still Smiley sad

    I had problems from kays too.. not the same but they were rude. i didnt get fhs ring there AFTER i had it on layway for 3 months and paid it!

    I've had a lot of problems with kays before too. they are very unapologetic and don't really care about their customers. i'm sorry you had to go through this! hopefully you will be able to work it out!
