Just want to share my DIY Sweetheart table floral runner!

Nicoletta, on December 14, 2014 at 11:12 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 30

This is my DIY floral runner I took about a week to make shown on a table outside the place we will be using for our venue next month. Just want to share it with everyone. I got my inspiration from some of the beautiful floral runners on Pintrest.

That is very pretty. Did you use tulle for the backing?

How cool! Are those real or fake flowers?

Val, I use muslin for a backing, its cheap and pretty sturdy, yet soft enough for there to be a nice drape. I use a 10 ft by 1 ft piece. FutureMrsDickinson, they are fake, I used roses, hydrangea and white orchids.

That is gorgeous. Do you mind me asking about how much it cost for that table runner? If you don't want to mention, that is okay. Either way you nailed it!

Thanks so much everyone!! Breecheez, I am not sure now much it cost to make, probably in the neighborhood of $150 for all of the materials, the flowers which cost the most to buy are the orchids. I get all my flowers from the wholesalers in downtown Los Angeles who usually resell big stores like Michaels, Joanns, etc

Ok I love this, willing to sell this after your wedding?

How long did you make yours? did you just glue them on? Sorry for all the questions, but if you don't want to sell yours after, then I want to make one of those.

Hi Val, yes I would be willing to sell this, I am also starting up a silk floral business, so if you have your wedding colors, I can make them in your colors for you.

BlingBling, http://www.yelp.com/biz/united-crafts-los-angeles, this is a great store and the people that own it are very nice. I got a resale permit for the business I want to start, if you can get one, you can save money in tax. There are also some great shops around this area, but make sure you go with a friend/fiancee etc, the neighborhood is kind of yucky.
