June 2020 wedding cancellation policy

Kristi , on April 3, 2020 at 12:51 PM Posted in California Planning 0 3
Hi ladies!
I was wondering if anybody has been given back their security deposit if the venue HAS to cancel due to guidelines regarding no gatherings? Or have the venues been only asking you to postpone?
My wedding is on June 6 in L.A. and I’m deciding what the best option is. Thanks!

I know there are currently no guidelines for June yet, so maybe this is a better question for people that cancelled their weddings in April due to the most recent guidelines. Such a difficult situation we’re all in. But I’m thinking about getting eloped and then having a big party when it feels more safe to do so. Any input would help. Smiley smile

Our wedding is not till June 29th so I’m praying everything will be calm and we can have our wedding as planned. Trying hard not to think about it because I’m not in control of the situation. If I think too much about it I feel a panic attack brewing. So just praying and waiting

    Hi Kristi!

This is definitely a crazy stressful and uncertain time for everyone! It seems like a lot of June brides are waiting a few more weeks before making postponement decisions, but everyone's situation is different and it never hurts to be proactive about plan b!

You also aren't alone right now! ❤️

There are a ton of June brides also talking about their Covid19 concerns in these discussions:

    June 2020 brides: freaking out?

June and July Brides do not stress Covid-19!!!

From what I hear, a lot of vendors are encouraging their couples to postpone their wedding versus cancel. In these cases, the funds you have submitted will go towards the new date.

Sending lots of love your way!
