I've had a clear vision but my budget doesn't agree with me 😐🤑 Mountainy, modern romantic, neutral fall.

This is like a true and false. I wanted a backyard BBQ wedding. Pretty casual for the most part with some Glam where I can't help myself. I had originally been thinking sunflowers and daisies. Also really got into planning and finding our venue I wanted it to be a little rustic, but a little bohemian and a little redneck.... Now it's a little less unclear but I've stopped trying to fit what I want into the box of a theme and just buy, do what I want if I think I can make it look good. As I have been researching more, that's changed my plan also, things such as; food, photographs, reception ideas.

True!! I know I wanted a soft, natural, minimalistic wedding, and ultimately my vision and what happened were absolutely perfectly matching!! And everyone said that everything was perfect for the venue and setting!

False! I had a vision of the bridesmaid dress colors/ color scheme but have had to change it based off what the Venue can help supply for free such as table cloths colors as well as based off what stores have in color for bridesmaid dresses.

Definitely false! We started out wanting a small courthouse wedding. But now here we are planning a traditional church one! I really wish we would've stuck to the original plan

I thought I had a general idea of what I would want for my wedding, but once I started planning I found I was "starting from scratch" as I had my colors picked, but I really didn't have any preferences. I found that the only thing I care about is that my FH was there Smiley tongue Everything else is just likes and dislikes.

FALSE FALSE FALSE! I had come up with like 5 different ideas before we stuck to this one. Originally we wanted an autumn wedding with the theme of “apple of my eye” and then my sis got married in October and we both decided we did not an autumn wedding if she had one (too much comparison in my family). So we thought of a Christmas wedding and then that was vetoed, so then spring and 1st spring one was a brunch tea party one, then it was a fairytale but forest kind not princess kind, now we have chosen (and are sticking to) French vintage

True! I knew I wanted mini chandeliers, that I wanted the wedding to be in Asheville, NC, I knew I wanted one of the colors to be a shade of blue, that I wanted my wedding dress to be strapless. I have been planning my dream wedding since at least 18.

Completely true. I knew it needed to be somewhat rustic because of our roots but also didn't want everyone to wear cowboy boots. We're having rustic touches while keeping it contemporary and simple. Greenery all the way!!!

False.. I wouldn't really say the end result changed that much, but I was just winging it by the end.

Hmmm... I feel like I had a vision, but I didn't think it was good enough or I'd be able to pull it off so I tried for something more traditional, but only really looked at one venue and decided my vision was what we both really wanted.

False. I had a basic theme and our colors. Finding a suitable tartan and table decorations came next. I'm still working on walls and altar deco after some miscommunications with our venue manager and planner.

True. I’ve had an ideal wedding look or theme in my head for each season. FH decided on summer and I pretty much knew I wanted romantic, boho with gold and blush colors. The only thing that changed a few times was what we thought about for food and thats because food was one of the things FH really had an opinion on.

After we picked the colors, we just kinda rolled with it from there.

True and false. I did have a very specific idea of what I wanted and didn’t want but not of everything. Of course some things change along the planning to adjust budget and so on.

True. Once we found our venue, my FH was laying out the room then and there about what we needed, how to setup things and how the whole thing would workout. We'll have about 5 months exactly between getting engaged and our wedding, so there hasn't really been time to change our minds about things, which I think is nice.

Mostly true! I changed my colors about 3 times to begin with, but my vision of "rustic glam" has stayed the same.
