Is It Weird to Only Have One Maid of Honor & One Best Man and No Other Wedding Party???

I have never seen a requirement that says you have to have X number in your BP. If what you want is a low key thing, go for it.

I sure hope not, because thats all we're having! Although I do have 1 Jr. Bridesmaid because my eldest niece is "too grown up to be just a flower girl".

I have been to a wedding where there was only a moh and best man. I don't think it really matters. There are quite a few people that do that

Originally we were only going to have 1 MOH and one best man. But then DS decided to add his other son and my son to the wedding party, so we ended up with 3 BMs and 3 GMs. I don't think it's odd to have only 1 each, after all, one the MOH and Best man sign as witnesses to the marriage.

I'm having 2 maids of honor and he's having 1 best man. Don't worry about how it will look to others; it's what you want. There are a lot of people who go the smaller route.

Yeah, I wanted to go the smaller route because selfishly I want the focus to be on me & my future hubby lol

Plus, I've heard such horror stories about having a large bridal party and all the drama it can cause!

Nope not at all! My best friend only had a MOH and the BM, which was her husband's father! It was small and intimate!

We're only having a MOH and Best Man. I don't have many friends, and to use my female cousins as BMs, would've made my bridal party way too big for the number of guests we're having.

It made dress shopping for MOH soooooo easy. We just bought a dress off the rack at Macy's. And we don't have to worry about it matching anyone else's dress. Cuts down on floral costs too.

I don't think it's wierd at all. I'm also having only 1 MOH and 1 BM. FH and I just didn't want to do the supersized wedding party. We want everything to be small and intimate. We're also fortunate enough to have my big brother serve as our officiant.

No I don't think so. That is what I wanted but FH wanted groomsmen.

1 MOH and 1 Best man is what I am having. It is just right and no headaches.

We are also having 1 MOH and 1 Best Man with 150 guests. I have considered two more pairs, but opted for simplicity and cost savings on flowers.

Aww it was just my MOH, best man and one groomsmen since he is my brother. It still had drama :/ they all are bad with money that they asked me right by Christmas which was two weeks before wedding to pay for their outfits. I asked them last summer to save but whatever...they also make more money than me..
