Curious so have you guys already started planning and looking and get anything started for your wedding if you’re having it in 2023?

We're actively planning. Weddings usually take about a year or so to plan so I don't think it's that early. It also depends how elaborate your wedding is going to be, if you're doing it all yourself, etc. We've hired a wedding planner, gone over ideas for the wedding like decorating/colors/aesthetic, and we've toured and chose our ceremony and reception venues. Right now I'm just going over ideas because there's a lot to choose. I've been wedding dress shopping, but I don't plan on buying until it's 12 months until the wedding.

It's definitely not too early especially for vendors. The one thing I would hold off on is asking the bridal party to be in your wedding as that doesn't and shouldn't be done until about 6-8 months prior to the wedding as relationships can/do change even if you think they won't as unfortunately wedding planning tends to show you whose really there for you.

Hey. I’m getting married in ‘23 as well. I was trying to decide if we need a planner or not but trying to call vendors and most saying call back later in the year was getting aggravating. So we have decided to hire someone for full planning.

We're having our wedding March 2023 and I have all vendors booked except hair and makeup and our officiant. Im waiting until the summer to buy my dress to see all the spring and summer lines get released. Hair and makeup will most likely be done by a friend who is already aware of the date and will let me know when to book. We're also thinking about just asking a friend to officiate since we're already legally married.

November 2023 here! And congrats on your engagement!

We’ve booked our venue, photographer/videographer team and are about book our caterer that we just decided on. We’re also asking our bridal party next month and in March as well.
We are now currently scheduling phone appts. for DJs and florists, and we’re hoping to book both those by March the latest.
But the demand is sort of high for vendors in the city we live in. A lot are already taking on clients for 2023 and have most of 2022 booked, which freaked me and my fiancé out at first, haha.
I also am in a January 2023 wedding and MOH for my MOH who is getting married just over a month before me, so I’m hoping to have pretty much everything booked and planned by November of this year so I don’t have to worry about much next year since I’ll probably be hella busy. Lol.

We started planning in January 2021 for our April 2022 wedding...I'm glad we started early! We were able to get all the vendors we wanted and it's been not-overly-stressful having over a year to prepare. It's also let us save up some money. Depending on when in 2023 you're getting married, I would suggest starting sooner than later. Just my .02! Happy planning! Smiley heart

I am also June 2023! I found my venue, about to put down deposit on! They do catering and have one company to use for alcohol. I also figured out who is doing my cake, I’m booking a live wedding painter (sending contract today), I booked a violist already for the ceremony. All I really need to focus on is decor, flowers, the dress, and hair/makeup Smiley smile

June 2023 here! We booked our venue, photographer, and DJ shortly after getting engaged in July 2021, mostly because I am still in school and didn't want to worry about planning too much during the school year. We have a catering tasting lined up but haven't signed a contract yet. We did ask our bridal party already (because my fiance was too excited to wait), and asked a friend to officiate. Everything else is still to be done! I have a few dress appointments scheduled for June 2022. Not sure if I'm ahead of schedule or in a good spot, but I'm not planning to do much else between now and this summer.

Hi! No we booked our venue in 2020 booked our florist last year we just have to book our photographer and DJ now! Our venue does the food and everything we have a meeting with them on Wednesday to go over details and such. Haven’t started the attire shopping but we are doing our bachelorette this summer which is also booked. Just about to send out official wedding party invites at the end of this month. I say get it out of the way now what you can so you can enjoy the moments closer to your date. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have started planning and am very close to booking our venue. We are also looking for vendors and booking them as it seems everyone is getting booked up fast because of the wedding spike.
