Is a wedding planner /coordinator important

A planner is not as necessary but is nice to have. They plan the whole wedding with you.
A coordinator works day of and makes sure everything is set up among vendors and all things run smoothly. This is more important and most will tell you to schedule one if you can

I think a day of coordinator is extremely important. Our wedding absolutely wouldn't have been possible without ours. We started getting ready at 8 am or our 4:30 pm ceremony, there was no time for me to run around setting up decorations and directing everyone.

We had a day of coordinator and that was amazing. She helped set up decor, check in with vendors, made a day of schedule, ran the rehearsal, helped pick up cards & gifts, etc. But other than that, I did all the planning.

I think a day of coordinator is also more necessary than a planner. A planner is only for if you truly want a wedding in a scale you can’t plan for yourself and have the money to pay someone to do but a day of coordinator is to help ensure your day goes smoothly

I agree with everyone else. A wedding planner might be nice, but I think a day of coordinator is important. You can't get ready and make sure the vendors and guests are doing what they are supposed to.
