Stacy, on February 20, 2017 at 11:29 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8

Save the dates??? Yes or no?? We are having a small wedding, guest count is 43 persons. It's our immediate family and the immediate family of the wedding party.(their children and significant other) would you give them a save the date??? We are planning to Hand deliver the Invites.

I think it depends if a lot of people have to travel for the wedding. I mainly did them for family members who have to book flights and take time off of work. If you have verbally told these people about your wedding then you should be fine. It sounds to me like you're keeping it to people who you're in regular contact with anyway!

Yes to Kelly's suggestion. If you have folks coming from out of town, I'd say yes. If not, or if you're in regular contact and have already told them verbally, you should be fine to skip and do invites.

Skip it, unless you really want to send them. With a guest list that small, I would assume you have personally told everyone the date.

Thank you. We only have one guest that is a 2hr drive from us. Which we would definitely give them a heads up to plan accordingly. Before we give out invites.

Similar situation here. We decided on a destination wedding in Charleston, SC, where my fiancé went to college. Most of our guests will be our own immediate families or the spouses and kids of the wedding party. We are sending save the dates only to those who are not part of the wedding party or parents/siblings of ours, and this is mostly because they will have to make travel arrangements. If it were going to be a small wedding in our hometown and our guests would only be making a day trip, I doubt we'd send any.
