Hey all!

I need to rent or have my fiance make a safe but affordable pool cover dance floor. I have not been able to find anyone on the island that rent them. Does anyone know any info on this?

Has anyone made one? If so, how?

I would prefer to rent if the price is right.

In this situation, I’m not sure that safe and affordable go together. The load on it would be massive and it would need to be very carefully engineered to be strong enough. Does your fiancé have welding or construction skills? I would think that buying the materials needed would be much more expensive than renting - and if you rent, you’re covered if anything happens, you’re not liable.

Hey Jennifer!
How big is your guest list? I ask because I am trying to get an understanding as to how many people you anticipate standing on this pool cover at one time. Even though plexiglass is a tough material, making it a dancefloor will require it to withhold a number of people jumping on it at one time.
As the pp mentioned, I would not recommend DIYing this unless your SO is in the construction business and has access to the necessary equipment.
Is there anywhere else in your venue that would give you the space to have a dancefloor? You might then be able to use the pool as a decoration, with floating tea lights.
