“In house” Caterer left our Venue!

Chloe, on October 26, 2019 at 3:20 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 2
We got an email a few days ago from our venue letting us know that they and the in house caterer have cut ties and the chef will longer be catering weddings there. Technically we’ve already paid for the ceremony/reception space but the food would have been handled separately even though it was considered the “in house” option. We still have some time until our wedding but literally I didn’t want to think about finding a caterer at all! They provided three more options for catering but two of them have menu options that isn’t the type of food we want to serve and the third one we like but the pricing is turning out to be astronomical. We’ve been contacting other caterers for more options but it’s such a hassle.

Has anyone gone through something like this before!? I literally want to order 50 large pizzas and let my guests have at it loll

This has never happened to me but our reception is also doing in house. I would be all mad. Probably do a taco truck lol. The good thing is you still have some time to think. I saw take a breather and think what you guys can do. But i'm really sorry this is happening to you.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you, Chloe. Definitely not ideal, however, you have time to figure out an alternative.

The WeddingWire vendor directory may help you out if you're searhcing for a similar caterer (Clifton Wedding Caterers).

What was on the original menu? What type of cuisine?
