I’m in tears because i hate my wedding dress and I’m getting married in 7 days!

Okay here’s the deal. My fiancé and I got engaged a month ago but between then and now we ran into money issues. We decided to do a courthouse wedding because we can’t afford to do more. His aunt is so sweet and offered to help me get a wedding dress, shoes, and accessories. Well we went shopping and all the dresses she picked were old fashioned and I didn’t like them but I didn’t want to be ungrateful. I was so appreciative that she even offered to help that I just agreed to get one of the ones she picked. I feel so ugly in it and I’m trying to stay positive because I know that we are having a the real wedding next year. I don’t want to wait to get married but I also feel like I’m going hate how I look. I don’t know what to do. Please help.

    Ah is there a way for you to alter it quickly? Such as cutting off the sleeves if any or adding a belt or anything like that?

    Oh I think it's sweet! I do think you could get a belt to add some bling, you can put it on the waist or even up under the chest. I think you'll look great in it and you'll be so happy with a bridal glow it wouldn't matter what you wore.

    Oh no! Maybe you can look at some dresses you like and try to alter your dress to look more like those. Just a few little tweaks can do a lot to make the dress more your style.

    I don’t think there is anything wrong with your dress. It’s perfect for the occasion. But you’re not happy, is it possible to take it back and exchange it? Otherwise, I agree with the PP. Adding a belt will really do a lot! Don’t stress though. You will look beautiful and regardless, you’ll be married ☺️

    I agree! A sparkly belt would tie it together and give you that modern touch! You’ll look beautiful! Also, try putting it on when you’re all done up with hair and make up. I can feel like a hate an outfit until I dress the rest of myself up to match!

    I think you look beautiful and agree with the PPs suggestions. You could also try adding an over skirt as an easy change if you want poof.

    I agree with everyone else, a belt would make it more polished. It’s a really pretty dress, just need accessories.

    I think it’s pretty! I think adding some sparkle like with one of those belts and a pretty necklace will add something special to it!

    Add a belt with some bling or a sash with bling. JoAnn fabrics has some and they're reasonably priced, too! Add some statement shoes and jewelry if it coordinates with the look. A white lace dress is easy to accessorize and glam up for many occasions!
