Okay here’s the deal. My fiancé and I got engaged a month ago but between then and now we ran into money issues. We decided to do a courthouse wedding because we can’t afford to do more. His aunt is so sweet and offered to help me get a wedding dress, shoes, and accessories. Well we went shopping...
Okay here’s the deal. My fiancé and I got engaged a month ago but between then and now we ran into money issues. We decided to do a courthouse wedding because we can’t afford to do more. His aunt is so sweet and offered to help me get a wedding dress, shoes, and accessories. Well we went shopping and all the dresses she picked were old fashioned and I didn’t like them but I didn’t want to be ungrateful. I was so appreciative that she even offered to help that I just agreed to get one of the ones she picked. I feel so ugly in it and I’m trying to stay positive because I know that we are having a the real wedding next year. I don’t want to wait to get married but I also feel like I’m going hate how I look. I don’t know what to do. Please help.

    I think if you accessorize you will be able to make it more of what you want. I love the idea of a belt and some kick-ass shoes!

    I actually really love your dress and think it's perfect for a courthouse wedding. Add a belt and you are good!

    Editing to add: when i read your post I was expecting a pretty hideous dress. Your dress is seriously beautiful. Not old fashioned at all. I think it's stylish. I would wear it.

    It's itchy and the fit makes me look bigger than I am. The length is a bit awkward.

    Thank you all for the suggestions. The shoes I have are really pretty so I'm just going to find a nice belt. I really appreciate everyone for making me feel better about this.

    I think a sparkly belt will honestly add such a different look and will really make it pop!
