You mean like have the wedding party wear flight crew style uniforms? Or having old fashioned luggage as part of the decor? Rent a mock subway car? Have travel tickets and railroad style lanterns at the tables? Get a caterer that will have railway worker uniforms?

Also my wedding has a twist its a military wedding my color is navy white and silver. I had a friend who made their escort cards like tickets to a football game because of their love of football. You could do that but with like mock plane tickets. Have a vintage suitcase as a card box.

Oooh, fun theme!

I'm thinking that some ways you can capture the "journey" element don't have to be super literal. Like, you don't necessarily need planes/tickets all over the place, but just the idea. Some other visual elements that might serve you well would be maps (instead of flags), dotted lines for the travelling (think like a treasure map), and maybe even think outside the box on the theme elements you're not so sure about - ex: planes don't have to be 747s, they could be paper airplane garlands. Anyway, hope you have some fun with it!
