I agree with Rev. Ann! It's your hand, you're the one looking at it and they're your rings! IF you like it then do it! Smiley smile

It's what you want it to be. There's no proper way about it. Do what you want!

There isn't any rules about blending metals or colors of metal. You can be as unique as you want. Just like all engagement rings aren't diamonds or solitaires.

There's no rules about how it looks, but you do need to be careful with rubbing/scratching. If you get a metal that is much harder than silver, it could scratch your engagement ring. Gold is very similar in hardness to silver, so it would probably be fine, but platinum or titanium could damage your e-ring.

Not at all, whatever you like is what you should get! My cousin has a yellow gold engagement ring with a white gold enhancer and she loves it Smiley winking

Me diamond e-ring is white gold but it has gold accents, so silver and gold in one ring . The sapphire ring I wear on the other hand is yellow gold with white gold accents, so gold and silver.

I love the two-tone look and I never have to worry about which necklace/bracelet I'm wearing with it

    Not silly at all.

My engagement ring is gold (yellow). I don't know what my wedding ring looks like but I know that it is either White gold or platinum (all FH will tell me) I'm not bothered. I think the idea that the e-ring and w-ring have to match is a new thing.

(I'm not a fan of yellow gold but it is FH family's ring)

My e-ring is yellow gold. My wedding ring is rose gold. It only matters if it matters to you.
