Dedicated September 2019

i was told i have a huge wedding guest list, i honestly thought it seemed small.

So my guest list is mainly our families. For my it's my mom's side, my dad's side, and my stepdad side. For my fiance it's his dad's side and his step moms side. We both selected 5 of our closets friends and their families. All single persons may bring a plus one, so if all remaining reply RSVP We would be expecting 125 guest, that includes their dates. Whay do you consider a lot?

We have about 115 people and my mom is calling it small because my brother had about 200. I went to an African wedding 2 months ago and they had 425 people and she told me everyone did not show up. I think 125 is average 🤷🏾‍♀️.

That's a modest size wedding. Unless this is coming from the person that is footing the bill, I wouldn't give it another thought.

Yeah my first wedding was big at 300, I think <59 is small, and somewhere around 100 is average.

We invited 130 people. So far we have gotten about 100 RSVP yes back. Probably going to end up with 120 people would be my guess. Most weddings I've been to have been between 100 and 200 people, unless it's a small immediate family only type thing. I think 100 to 200 is the average.

I’d say 125 is average. Our guest list is around 300 which is insane.

“A lot” is relative. My list is not quite 30, so 125 seems impossibly big to me. But I know in the overall wedding world, it’s probably about average.

It's big, but not huge. I had originally planned 100 people and my FH said that was huge. It's now 75 and he still thinks it's big...Most are his family!

I spent the last week of my life trimming down a list of 300ish people down to 270. This is 90% close family. A few close friends. And zero plus ones.
    125 sounds beautiful.

That's not that bad, we invited 100 guests. A friend of mine from work had a 250 person wedding reception because both of her parents were one of about a dozen kids so that meant lots of aunts and uncles and cousins.

I wouldn't call 125 a small wedding. You're actually right around the 'average' size. According to most resources I've seen on it, such as: https://www.marthastewartweddings.com/649315/guest-count-small-medium-big-wedding

But large/small is relative based on the family really. Some cultures would consider anything lower than 200 a tiny wedding! Our reception was small (50 guests) and ceremony even smaller (20).

I'd say that's around average, we're having about 130 after lots of cuts! Gotta keep the budget in tact! Lol

We’re inviting around 300 people but are hoping for 175-200 people max. Both of my brothers had over 300 people at their weddings (which were in our hometown... mine is 2 1/2 hours away). Mine seems small to me but would be large for other people!

I wish my wedding was 125! We were shooting for 150 and our list is now at 230. I’m hoping for a lot of no’s to come back.

I consider 125 to be about average. We are inviting 68 if EVERYONE comes. If we would have both invited our entire extended families and every friend then it would have been the 150-175 mark and we weren't comfortable with that. We invited each person that has a genuine part of our life.

I'm inviting about 300 people so your number seems small to me! But I think it just depends on you as a person.

Small is generally under 80 people, I think you're in the meduim category.
I'm having 65 people so to me your wedding sounds enormous!

We are staying at 125 but we could easily have done 300 if money wasn’t an issue.

We had 139 people on the list, and some people consider that huge, some consider it small... I think it's somewhere around average.

That includes family out to first cousins and their kids, and a lot of in-town friends. We already have a couple of declines and are expecting more.
