Look what I got today. Clever. People don't know how to write their names.

Funny thing for me is I put return addresses (so the person who'd be sending it back) on every envelope and not a single person forgot to write their name. I'm sure if I hadn't done it someone would have forgotten.

FSIL numbered them. She got all sorts of ones, people writing their names, but not saying how many, people writing a long list of food instructions for the venue and then just plain CALLING the venue to tell them the meal their child should have (She served a dish that had both chicken and pork on the plate so no meal choices), people forgetting to write their names, etc.

Also, had people tell the venue that they did not want what was being served, and had the venue fix them a different plate. I guess the venue handled it all well without telling the bride, but some lady was like "I don't remember what I ordered, oh I can't remember what I ordered" when there was no ordering to begin with.

Shannon, that's a great idea! I don't know why people don't put return addresses on them to begin with, that's a sure sign for it getting lost in the mail!

I numbered them, and have gotten a few so far with no names.

But why don't people put return labels on them too!!

At least with this one they declined so you don't need to worry about escort cards and such if you're doing them....look on the bright side Smiley smile lol

But I hear ya, thank goodness I put return address labels on RSVP envelopes... I've had two no names!

I numbered mine too. When FH asked why I was doing that, and I told him it was in case anyone forgot to write their name, he looked at me like I was crazy and said, "No one's going to forget their name!"

Clearly, he has not seen what I've seen on WW.

I numbered mine too and @ Roma I had the same thing happen. Asked people to initial beside their choice of entree (we have 3) and most just checked or put the number of that particular entree desired on the line. I'll probably get flack for this but I'm so over this babysitting grown folk thing with this wedding that it got old pretty fast chasing down people to find out who wants what b/c I got to be so many like that I just decided they can sort it out when they receive the dang plates at the table.

To avoid this, we're breaking out the UV pen. The names of who ever the invite was sent to will be written on the back of the rsvp in UV ink so if anyone can't be bothered to fill in their name, we'll still know who it is.

I numbered mine and wrote "we have reserved ___ seats in your honor", and no one forgot to write their name or tried to add extra guests. I think we got lucky.

I numbered mine for this reason. BUT I have gotten RSVP's back that they wrote their name but didn't check the box to say attending or not.

I saw a RSVP card with the fancy font M and then the blank line (as usual).

The guest just added ike on the line (his name was Mike). He actually asked what would happen if the guest's name didn't start with the letter M.

I’ve received a few of those too, so lame…

I also did the numbering system, it saved me with those few blank RSVP!

@Erika- Yes. It came from San Francisco, so it has to be one of two of Fhs cousins. I told him to call him, but of course he hasn't.

@Futute Mrs. M- Lol. I am! And it's not even over yet. I never know what is going to come through that mail box!

@Nancy T- Wowzersss! Lol. People these days. Are they serious?!

@Roe- Very people verified who was eating what they wrote their names down and checked the boxes. I have no idea who wants what. I have to start calling those people too. Geez. This is such a hassle.

I am waiting to see what comes in today. Hopefully, it is a nice normal one! Smiley smile
