i need some advice.

Brooke, on January 24, 2020 at 8:59 AM Posted in Planning 2 29

Ok so i got married right out of High School to my childhood sweetheart. Although i don't regret it. The wedding we had was pretty much just a get together and the whole thing lasted about an hour....SERIOUSLY.... I never got a party, no first dance, my father wasn't in the picture but now i have a fantastic FATHER. So i would get my father daughter which is something i have dreamed about. I asked if he would walk me and he said YES and that he would dance with me! My Uncle walked me last time. SO June 25th of next year (2021) We will be married 10 years, so we are wanting to do a renewal and this is my time to get those things every girl dreams of. My family is overjoyed. My mom is already shopping and ill have all my friends, family and most importantly our little girl this time! Should i actually treat this as my first time wedding? I already asked people to be bridesmaids and Groomsman. I need help ladies. PLEASEEE. AM i going overboard or is this MY time finally!?

I'd say this is your time! Do everything you've ever dreamed of! It sounds like everyone else is just as excited for you too, so there's nothing holding you back!

You can absolutely make your vow renewal as much like a wedding as you want to. Big white dress, bridal party, dinner, dancing, etc. A vow renewal can be as simple or as elaborate as you and your husband want it to be Smiley smile Congratulations on almost ten years of marriage!!

Girl YES!!! Throw that big party and celebrate this milestone!! I'm sure y'all have come so far as a couple in 10 years and it sounds like as a family as well, it's truly something to celebrate. I would just ensure that everyone you invite know's it's a vow renewal, but I'm sure they all know anyway, just something to ensure you clarify. Happy Planning!

You can do whatever you want except call it a wedding and have pre-wedding events like bachelorette parties and showers.
