i need opinions on my dress!!!

Hello,
I found this beautiful dress and I am engaged to the the love of my life! So the dilemma is... That about a year ago I was engaged to someone I was with for four years. It was not the right person and I broke off the wedding. I had already bought the second dress posted. It was beautiful and my mom thinks I should still wear it to save money ... I spent 1200.00. However, I met an amazing man and I feel I should have a dress that fits the occasion. Also, the second dress feels odd to wear On such a glorious day! I never thought I would be planning a wedding on the heals of heartbreak... But everything happens for a reason! I need opinions and Help! I love my mom and want to at least value her opinion to consider using the dress.

Both dresses are beautiful. Have you tried selling the dress you originally bought? I love the first one on you, but I'd imagine the second dress looks just as gorgeous! But if the dress you already have doesn't feel like the right dress to marry your fiancé in, I say get the new dress (so long as it's doable financially). Otherwise, the dress you already have is beautiful too!

First off, congrats! We just never know what will happen.

Second, if you’ve got the budget, I’d say go for a new dress. It is a beautiful dress, but if you’ve got that not so good association with it, why not try to sell it and start fresh?

I think that memories and feelings can be tied to dresses. I think that if the 2nd dress carries the memories of your previous relationship and no longer feels right, then I would not wear it.

If your hearts wants a new dress and you can afford it. Then go for it. I would sell the first dress to help offset the cost and help another bride

You should listen to your heart, it’s your wedding not anyone else’s! If wearing the old dress will bring up bad memories then that’s definitely not something you want to deal with on a day that should be all about love and happiness. Try and sell the old one and even if you don’t get all the money back from it you’ll still have something to put towards the new one!

Thank you! I really Love the new one. Yes, I did list the older one for sale so I do feel that if I get something for it I will at least be able to put it towards the new one.

I love the new dress. I think you should sell the old one... it's beautiful but I agree it would feel a bit odd.

If you think it's in your budget, get the new one! I think both are gorgeous (although I am favoring your new dress). I'd try to sell your old one, and wherever your sell/post it, let them know it has never been worn.

I agree❤ I have it listed and hopefully it sells and that will calm my mom's price tag anxiety. We have a healthy budget but,it was a big chunk to just toss out.

F the second dress and sell it lol. That would give me weird vibes if I went with that second dress that was supposed to be worn for a different wedding to a man that didn't work. If it is in your budget I would say GO FOR IT! its very pretty. YOU should feel comfortable for your wedding and everything should just feel right

I love the new dress. I would sell your original dress. I would feel weird wearing that dress when at the time, you pictured yourself marrying someone other than your FH now.

This is literally me. I wanted to save money at first, but it just didn't feel right. Very icky/bad juju. I listed my first one and got a different one. Not one iota of regret.

The first one is my old dress (white), and the second is my new dress during my first fitting (lavender)(please excuse the pins and folds)
I think the expression says it all
