I need help finding cute bridal shoes that are under 2 inches!

VivaLaVal, on August 22, 2013 at 1:20 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 21

My FH is a little guy, 5'-5"... I obviously don't mind because I am marrying him =) however, I am having an AWFUL time finding stylish bridal shoes that are under 2 inches. I'm 5'2" but I need to leave a little extra room for the hair-do! Every. Single. Pair of shoes that I have found and have attempted to buy are out of stock and/or discontinued. I found a REALLY cute pair of Vera Wang wedges that have a one inch wrapped heel that I loved, and wouldn't you know it, only available in black. =( Also, I've tried to buy a shoe by Seychelles that was discontinued. There has been three other instances of this happening. Typically, I don't mind towering over him, as a matter of fact, I wore 6 inch heels to work today... it's just that I don't want to look awkward in our wedding photos and I do NOT want to wear a flat. I just don't feel like a woman in flats, plus I am already limited to them in our engagement photos. Does anyone have any suggestions where else I can look?

I designed my own online: www.shoesofprey.com

Not sure what your budget is, they are kind of pricey (at least I thought so, compared to DSW where I usually shop). But you can design short heel shoes!

I agree that it can be hard to find bridal-ish shoes that are shorter. I found 2" heels that I love from BHLDN but they were around $300. Like Emily said, shoesorprey or milk and honey you can design your own but they're also around $300.

I'd also check the Nina website.

BHLDN has several pairs of heels that are under 2 inches. I don't know what your budget is but if they aren't white you could definitely wear them again Smiley smile

I just want to say thank you for posting this because I am having the same problem! My FH and I are the exact same heights as you and yor FH. What bothers me is that all the cute shoes I end up liking are the tallest heels!! Ugh

Thanks ladies! I'm not so much worried about price, I'm worried about finding something that I absolutely LOVE, and that are comfy! I'll check our your suggestions!

I originally wanted blue, peep toe with a brooch looking decoration on the toe, since I am having a brooch bouquet, but my options have been limited. So I have been looking at ivory, pale yellow, mint, pale green or blush too!

I started look at non-traditional bridal shoes. Like ones with a 40s influence. Idk, I'm open to anything really... just not closed toe. I appreciate all of your help!

Dsw.com was a popular option when I posted this question a couple weeks ago.

These aren't really blue more like mint but definitely that vintage 40s feel.

These are from Macys and they come in various colors.

The 2nd pair is also from there but not as many colors.

I have thought about adding a brooch to whatever shoes I find that are suitable. Macy's and Nordstrom did have some good selections.
