i need advice about a fam member

Kayla, on October 26, 2019 at 2:23 AM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 7
So my very opinionated grandmother (whom I've been close to my whole life) has told my mother that she won't be attending my wedding because I won't be wearing a white dress. Now when I talk to her, everything is fine. She has never said anything about it. I'm not going to lie, it hurts. I will not change my mind about how I do my own wedding to pleas anyone else tho. So she's out of luck there lol The real question is..... Do I invite her and act like I know nothing? Or do I not invite her. These things have happened before. (My daughter name she didn't like and told people I wasn't naming baby the name I had chosen blah blah blah) im very exhausted from it. Advice much appreciated. You guys are my only ear right now

Wow do we have the same grandmother? 😂
Sorry you’re going through this! I’m also wearing a non-white dress & when grandmom saw it for the first time she walked out of the room she was so upset about it. 🤷‍♀️
I personally would keep truckin along like she didn’t say anything, send her the invitation, and then see what happens.

Haha we possibly could! You never know! 😂 I'm starting to think the same. Just act like I know nothing. Keep the peace. Not gonna lie a part of me just wants to be done with the drama tho whew. Thank you!

By not acknowledging it, you’re letting the drama go. I think it’s the safest move. And I’m sure (I hope for your sake!) by that time she’ll come around 🙄

I would invite her and act like you don’t know anything. Don’t give her the acknowledgment of bad behavior. Good luck

Just invite her. Her behavior isn’t acceptable, but if you don’t invite her because of it, she will paint you to be the monster.
