I need a country reception exit song

Katie, on May 23, 2012 at 1:03 PM Posted in Planning 0 18

I've been trying to find a country song to exit the reception to, but I really can't think of anything. We are a laid back couple and the reception is actually a pig roast. I would like to have an upbeat song, even something funny. Any ideas??

Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy? It's upbeat, kind of funny, and mildly inappropriate.

Or "Me and My Gang" by Rascal Flats?

"Cowboy Take Me Away" -Dixie Chicks <--- Not really upbeat or funny, but totally cute for that particular time frame/type of song ;]

    "Wrapped Around" -Brad Paisley

    "Somebody Like You" -Keith Urban

    "Stuck Like Glue" -Sugarland

How about Hold my Beer (I think my Trace Adkins)? FH and I are actually thinking about using it during our Recessional! It may be a tad innappropriate for the moment but who cares? LOL

My all time fave country wedding song is "The One", sung by Gary Allen and written by my good friend Billy Lee. It's amazing.

Forever by Keith Urban is a great upbeat song but don't think it goes good for an exit song but its a great song for a wedding.

Honky Tonk Badonkadonk – Trace Adkins

You Don’t Have To Go Home – Gretchen Wilson

Here For The Party – Gretchen Wilson

I don't know to much about that genre besides every now and then I hear a few I like but I hope these help. I read about it and I thought they may do you some justice.

We are having a pig roast/country wedding also!! Our last song will be "soldier" by Gavin Degraw. Not really country, but I love it and had a hard time deciding if it would be our first dance or last... but Im going with last!

I'm a Billy Currington fan.. and I adore.. "LIke my Dog".. and Pretty Good at Drinking Beer... you could also do I'm with the Band by Dierks Bently... or How 'bout them Cowgirls by George Strait? wow..if I had all afternoon I could come up with a lot...

How about Shania Twain? She has all kinds of "together forever" songs, some romantic, some cheesy, all pretty country.

You're Still The One (cutesy if you've been together awhile)

    Forever and For Always (catchy)

    From This Moment On (romantic)

    Any Man of Mine (funny)

    I'm Gonna Getcha Good (funny)
