I'm just here to vent. My wedding is less than a month away and I just picked up my dress from my last appt last week. I just thought that I would love it more. I bought my dress on a budget because we don't have a lot of extra money to spend, and I'm really not a "dress up" person. I had a "moment" with a dress that was out of my price range but got over it.
My current dress is just not me at all, fits me awkwardly, and doesn't have a train. I dont know what I was thinking when I bought it. I am so disappointed that I have to wear this horrible dress and spend money on it. It makes me feel like a sausage. Sorry, I'm just wallowing 😭cfb_1401799.jpg

As PPs have said, a petticoat will make a huge difference. Once the bottom is flared out, it will look like a new dress. And you do have a train, just not a long one. If you're dreaming of a long train, you can get a long veil (tons of hairspray and bobby pins) or an overlay skirt for the ceremony. Both can be found inexpensively on and quickly shipped by Amazon. If you or someone you know are DIY inclined, they can be made even cheaper.

Your dress is tailored well and you do look nice in it, so enjoy your wedding day!

It looks amazing on you! That being said so you know the dress you wanted originally? If you know the name and designer you might be able to find it preowned site and then use that dress part reception since it looks more comfortable than most dresses.

I think you look beautiful. However, as a woman I know that does not mean a whole lot if you yourself do not feel beautiful. Honestly it may be a bit late in the game to get a new dress, but there’s hope! I’ve seen brides get a dress the day before. If you don’t want to dress up your gown with accessories. Buy a new one, although I’m sure your groom and guests will love it either way.

Get a cathedral length veil!!! That will make you feel better about the train. And also I think your body looks Amazing in it. Your feelings are valid, but you also might be having a body dysmorphic day. ❤️

Maybe one of these slips would work:

Also I love the idea of getting a veil that’s longer than your train. I’ve seen that and I think it’s beautiful...it gives the illusion that your train is longer. Smiley smile

My perspective, as most everyone else has said, the dress is beautiful and it fits you like a glove!

I can totally understand from your perspective it may not be the dress you envisioned. Have you tried a long veil to get the train you had hoped for? You may be able to take the belt off if its stitched on and get a belt that you like that ties in the back. Just some thoughts.

I had dress regret myself, but ended up wearing the dress anyway. It was pretty and pictures turned out great and I didn't have regrets.

Ummm no sausage here lady! i love it. i think once u jazz it up with your accessories and makeup you may feel differently. you could add a detachable train if u really want it but it has such a simple vintage vibe u dont need even need it.

I completely understand, as I’ve been second guessing my dress lately. When I first put it on I told the consultant I could see myself walking down the aisle in it, but that was like a year ago now. I agree with PPs to look Inyo longer veils if you want a longer train feeling. Since budget is a concern, while you can find detachable skirts, that’s probably not a budget friendly solution ☹️. As everyone says, you look great in the dress and I hope you can find a way to make it more you with accessories. I don’t know what style you prefer, but rather than traditional classic looking jewelry you could always go with fun accessories that really speak to your style. I think gold/rose gold jewelry will stand out beautifully, but don’t be afraid to think outside the box too. I hope you have a beautiful day.

The dress flatters you well. Maybe you could wear a long veil and some other accessories to make it more you. Also, I second a small petticoat; it’ll make it seem more full on the bottom. But I think it’s a beautiful dress.

You look stunning! Maybe add a long veil, a thicker sequined belt, and jewelry!

I honestly think you look BEAUTIFUL! I don't know what mirror you're looking into but I think the dress fits you fine where it should. Don't shouldn't feel bad about your dress at all.

I also agree it’s pretty on you - it flatters your figure. Perhaps you could try a detachable skirt that gives it more volume and a train
