I hate my hands!!!

You've been fired over your hands? I think if that's what your comfortable with, then do it. It's your ring.

I was a blackjack dealer (the worst job in the world for me cause everyone just stares at your hands) and a whole table started making fun of me. I started to cry, misunderstood my supervisor and left the table. Got fired for not keeping my composure to the point of endangering company assets. Best thing that ever happened to me though. Such a negative environment.

That's so mean! Seriously, they had nothing better to do than to make fun of someone's hands?!? I'm sorry people are so stupid (I have problems with random, painful bloating and people ask me all the time if I'm expecting so I know the feeling.)

Yeah, when I was young and arrogant I used to reply "well, nobody's perfect" but I've been worn down and can't muster the courage any more. I have always had a strict no bracelets or rings policy for boyfriends but this time I have to give on that

Yeah I have thicker wrists and have a no bracelet rule as well. I'm sure your ring is beautiful enough to distract from your self-consciousness!

As long as you trust the person who you are handing your ring to, I don't see a problem with taking it off- I actually have done the same :o). You might want to ask your FH to see what he says if you are still concerned.

People...make fun of...your...what?!

Really? They make fun of your HANDS?! I don't get that. At all. I mean, I never condone making fun of anyone for anything. But I've never seen hands, of all things, that are laughable. (And my grandma has RA so bad each of her knuckles is literally the size of a golf ball. So I've seen some scary hands.)

Do you mind if I ask what's supposedly so wrong with them? I mean, I really hate my middle finger on my right hand because it was broken when I was a kid (taking too many notes in class. I'm not kidding) and so now it's kinda crooked. But no one's ever made fun of me for it. I doubt anyone's even noticed.

Anyway, if it bothers you that much, then yeah, just take off your ring to show it. It's your ring. I'd be nervous about losing it personally, but I've lost quite a few rings in my life. I have terrible luck with jewelry. heh.

They call me man hands. They're not crazy big or masculine but I'm not a very big person and most of me is pretty feminine so they must just stick out. It wasn't a one time thing so that makes me feel like it's true. But, everyone struggles with something and this is my thing. Oh well. I will probably just leave it on (I also have bad luck with losing jewelery) and deal with it. Anyone know how to post a pic from a cell phone? I'll show you what I'm talking about. We're all friends here right?

OMG I never thought I would ever find someone other than me that hates thier hands so much. I am mortified just thinking of how much my hands will be photographed that day. My hands are REALLY skinny and my wrists are EXTREMELY tiny and my veins usually pop out so they look like grandma hands....aagghhh, I dont want to think about it anymore...

And everyone says "oh, you poor thing you hate your....hands?" Like there are worse things to hate. But it really is hard. People who like their hands don't know how much people see your hands. Signing things at the bank, shaking people's hands, playing board games. I've even been made fun of by the people at the nail place when I tried getting manicures to help them look nicer. And I'm allergic to the fake nails so I can't even do that. Sigh, indeed Dee. My feet are pretty much hobbit feet but they're small enough to be funny in a cute way. Plus I don't stick my feet out to someone the instant I meet them. I even hate praying since we hold hands around the dinner table.

I saw the pic of your hand and your hands are not bad at all. Wear your ring with pride and never let anyone put you down. We all have things we don't like about ourselves but, no one in this world is perfect. They look fine. Enjoy your ring and Congrats!!

First, I just want to say I think that anyone who makes fun of another person for physical features that they have no control over is a pretty insecure, low life, juvenile. But, since there are people out there like that, you've got to just learn to deal with it. I suggest proudly showing off your ring, on your finger. If anyone is so pathetic as to make a comment about your hands, simply reply with, "Well, I don't see a rock like this on your hand so there must not be too much wrong with mine!" That should shut them up.

Frankly Z, I think your hand is absolutely beautiful!!! When I look at the picture I dont see anything that would suggest otherwise....if you wanna dress it up, try Minx on your nails & top it off with your fabulous ring...that'll draw the attention away from the rest of your hand!!!

Ummmm.... YOUR HANDS ARE FINE!!!!!!!!!! You will never be able to accept that, but they really look completely normal to me. I don't get it at all. But I know how it is to hate something about yourself and then that is all you think about. But try not to. You are beautiful and a wonderful person....WITH AN AWESOME RING TO SHOW OFF!! :o)

I don't see anything wrong with your hands! And maybe having this gorgeous ring will make you feel more dainty and less critical of your hand.
