i got my dress today... and my mom hates it.

My mom despises my dress so much, she didn't even want me to sign for it and take it home.

She says it's too "boobie" and is way too low cut, too tight, and overall "unflattering and way, way too revealing for a wedding." She saw a picture of the dress before I ordered it, and I don't understand where the outrage is coming from.

I am 100% IN LOVE with this dress, but now I don't even want to look at it. I drove home in tears. The top part of the dress (bodysuit) has been discontinued, so I cannot order lace to add to it (which I didn't really want to do anyways). If I alter it, the lace will look different.

I need honest opinions please. Too revealing? Or is it okay as is?

It’s beautiful and very tasteful! I think you look sophisticated. Not too tight and definitely not too cleavage or chest showing. Looks gorgeous!

It’s perfect for you. The deep V looks wonderful. You’re not showing any cleavage. Adding more ñace wouldn’t complement this dress. If your mom saw it beforehand, maybe she showed the pic to a friend or coworkers and they made snotty comments because they were jealous how amazing you look

I mean I could see if your chest was popping out of it but you’re completely covered. That dress is elegant and classy. I really think your mom is being way too critical.

I’m fairly conservative, and I don’t think that dress is too booby at all! There isn’t even cleavage! It looks beautiful.

I think it’s beautiful! So unique and it flatters you really well. It has a low neckline but nothing is hanging out— definitely not too revealing.

You look absolutely stunning in this dress. It's low-cut, sure, but you're not spilling out of it or anything. I'm sorry your mom is reacting this way. If you feel like the bomb dot com in this dress, screw what mom says. You rock it! Again, absolutely beautiful.

Honestly, I think it's STUNNING. The lace is so intricate and has modern and classic components to it. If YOU loved it, that's all that matters. You're the one that's wearing that day. And to answer your question, I don't think it's too revealing at all. It's sexy in an understated way.
I think your mom is completely overreacting. Don't let her emotionally manipulate your decision. You look gorgeous.

I haven't read all the comments, and I'm sure everyone else has already told you, but OH MY GOD THIS DRESS IS STUNNING! Please don't second guess your decision. I am so sorry that your mom doesn't like it and is being so unnecessarily negative.

You look great. It's a very nice dress. And yes, it's somewhat low cut (front and back) but I actually think it's a pretty modest dress. I would have nevverrr thought it too revealing. Mom's are weird sometimes My mom gets the same way. Go w/ your gut. If you love it, stick w/ it!

Oh my gosh, you look stunning and your dress is absolutely gorgeous! Please don't let your mom's comments get to you; the dress is not too "booby" and dare I say even modest. Rock it with confidence and no that none is going to be questioning your choice, they will all think you look fantastic and very bridal. Is your mom usually very conservative when it comes to clothing?
