i got my dress today... and my mom hates it.

My mom despises my dress so much, she didn't even want me to sign for it and take it home.

She says it's too "boobie" and is way too low cut, too tight, and overall "unflattering and way, way too revealing for a wedding." She saw a picture of the dress before I ordered it, and I don't understand where the outrage is coming from.

I am 100% IN LOVE with this dress, but now I don't even want to look at it. I drove home in tears. The top part of the dress (bodysuit) has been discontinued, so I cannot order lace to add to it (which I didn't really want to do anyways). If I alter it, the lace will look different.

I need honest opinions please. Too revealing? Or is it okay as is?

Wow I love it! Not too much cleavage at all! My dress is very similar but without the sheer in the front, so it's all skin. At the end of the day, it's YOUR wedding. Moms can be conservative sometimes but this is really beautiful!

That dress is stunning and is gorgeous on you. You definitely pull it off as it looks like it was made for you. I would ignore your mom. I think her view is old fashioned when brides wore dresses that had sleeves and high necklines.

Sounds like mom wants you to wear a turtle neck lol I think your dress looks great on you! Deep V yes, but no “boobage” imo. Maybe she will change her mind when you’re all dolled up & getting ready to walk down the aisle! I agree w/ everyone don’t change a thing, it’s beautiful!

What omg you look amazing and your dress is super gorgeous and unique. My mom doesn’t like my dress either. She said it looked like a plain curtain ahah. She didn’t really have nice things to say for most every dress. And the ones she did like I HATED. This is your day your dress and moms can get on board or get off the train! Girl live you best life and do what makes you happy.

When you said too much boob I was expecting a sleeveless gown with the boobs hanging out. This is definitely not too much boob. It’s covers you great and looks beautiful

Look I’m a pretty conservative person when it comes to my clothes and don’t like to wear very revealing things. I think your dress is gorgeous and classy and does not at all show too much boobs. Honestly. She’s probably jealous or stressed and it’s presenting itself in this way. It also just might not be her style. But it’s your style and your wedding and you look absolutely beautiful. Congratulations on finding your dress! I’m so sorry your mom is stressing you out.
