I can't find my wedding dress!

Karen Black, on February 7, 2013 at 5:01 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

How do you know its the one? I've tried on TONS of lovely dresses, but nothing is really doing it for me and I don't know what I am looking for...

I didn't cry or have a big moment when I found my dress. I knew it was the one when I started comparing all the other dresses to it.

Don't worry, you'll find your perfect dress. You still have plenty of time.

By the way, the first dress you posted is amazing.

I didn't cry when I found mine either, but something in my gut told me that it was my dress, and that even if I didn't see it for 9 months, I would still want it more than the others. For each person it is different. Of the two that you posted though, I love the second one :-)

I didn't cry or have a moment or nothing!!!

I only knew because I compared that dress to all the others. Just go with your gut!

If you don't know what you are looking for try on a few different styles. You have plenty of time to find the right one. Like the others said you may not have that crying ohh this is the one moment...but you end up knowing you are happier in one dress more then the others...somtimes that is all it takes. Me I had three completely different dresses already picked out to try on before we were engaged( I know... I just couldn't help myself...we had already went and looked at rings).

The first dress is from etsy. Even though I can totally return it, it still makes me nervous. What do you think?

I put on the dress, walked out, turned around, and when I saw my reflection my immediate first thought reaction was not of what the dressed looked like on me (as my reactions to all other dresses and all other clothing are), but instead my fiance's reaction popped into my mind. It was like I was shown a vision of what his expression will be when he sees me in that dress for the first time, as I walk down the aisle towards him on our wedding day. This was so unexpected that I was shocked, and the back of my throat started to burn like I was going to cry, but there were no tears, and then the vision was gone. Only then did I actually notice the details of the dress and how it looks on me.

Fyi: It was the 1st dress at the 3rd salon, and I was there by myself. I went back a couple days later with my mom, dad, and sister in tow, and they loved it too!

I think the first dress is gorgeous. You never know until you try it, right??

I love the belt on the 2nd one but the 1st one is more...edgy.

Nice, edgy is what I am going for. The belt doesn't come with the first dress, but I actually already have a belt. I would replace the black with mine.

No huge crying moment here either. I had been ogling my dress for like a year before even being engaged, so I knew I had to try it on first. Sure enough, it looked amazing and complemented my body perfectly, but neither my mom nor I cried or anything. So I tried on a few more and kept comparing them all to the first. I put The Dress back on, and just couldn't stop smiling. Even in a sample three sizes too big, it was perfect. You'll find it!

I didn't have a moment either. I actually wanted to cry cause I was so confused!

Well, days later I couldn't stop thinking about that one dress --- I found myself venting about how much more beautiful the dress was compared to the other ones. I went back to the store and bought it. It was the first one I tried on.

I am in the same boat, but I need to order mine soon! I haven't found anything I LOVE yet, and I am torn between some styles that go more with my overall vision, and some that just look great on me.

When I first saw the dress in the bag I knew I would love it. Then I put it on and I felt like Queen. i knew this was IT.

The only reason I cried was because I loved the dress and it was out of my budget. But it worked because the salon manager offered it to me for 400$ less. Then didn't charge me tax. Praise God. So yea...
