So the attached picture is me dropping my dress off at alterations 2 weeks ago. I have lost about 20lbs, and MANY inches all over my body. After I left, went home and cried for 3 hours about my belly bulge even after all my hard work,..... I then had to compose myself. Since then, I have been on a VERY strict diet. No Carbs No added sugars No bread NO NOTHING. Still working out 3-4 days a week, 5 if my schedule allows. My fear is, I am not going to loose this pooch. BTW that's me with spanx on. SO, I am going to ask a border line desperate and embarrassing question.... has anyone Duct Taped their stomach on their wedding day? I did some googling and found you can really pull in this little fat back duct taping your entire stomach. I am curious A. has anyone done this and B. how was it after you have been sweating and dancing all night and C. did you die in pain taking it off that night LOL I currently have a corset on the way to me, but with the lace it is difficult to wear them as corsets are so thick.

Any help is needed, as the past 8 or 9 months I have worked my butt off to loose as much as I could, and for it to still not be enough is devastating.

You're beautiful and you're going to be a stunning bride. Please don't do anything unhealthy to yourself to try to change your appearance. If it really bothers you, shop around to find the best shapewear you can find that still allows you to sit, bend, and dance the night away. You don't want to be miserable on your wedding day!

My biggest piece of advice would be to talk this over in advance with your photographer. Tell them that this is something you're sensitive about and ask them to be aware of that with posing & camera angles. And ask them when editing the photos afterward to keep that in mind and if they see a little bump in any of the pictures that they can smooth out in editing, to please just do that.

But most of all, try to put it out of your mind on your wedding day. Be happy and in love with your partner, and see yourself as everyone else will see you...as an incredibly beautiful bride. Smiley heart

Starving yourself isn’t the answer. Your just going to be more depressed an upset because your not getting the nutrients you need. There is no need to stop eating carbs and sugar. You simply have to eat less calories than you are burning off. I saw you mention keto, can I suggest IIFYM (if it fits your macros). There are Facebook groups. You can eat carbs on this diet it’s a set amount each day. Also there is no such thing as spot reducing so all the crunches in the world are not going to tone up your stomach. I would continue with weights and cardio because that burns more calories than cardio alone.

Also, don’t duct tape yourself, imagine having to explain that on the wedding night. The buldge is something most women deal with bc it’s your uterus (literally). Men don’t have one so they don’t get the buldge that women do. Please look I to better shape wear instead.

I think you look beautiful in your dress! I don't even notice the stomach bulge you are talking about. I feel like duct tape would make you super uncomfortable, and probably come off if you sweat at all? If it's still bothering you, have you looked into tighter or strong spanx?

Yeah I ordered a corset style of spanx from Kohls, I am waiting for it come in. Hopefully it works better than the ones I had in the photo

I am not starving myself, just cutting out the foods that cause bloating (dairy) and get stored in your stomach. Which is Sugar and Carbs. I love food WAY to much lol Just making some major adjustments the next month to help lower the bulge.

Actually, lowering salt to the recommended no more than 1500 mg a day ( read packages) can get rid of natural extra fluid retention. That is not a low amount for health. It is just that many people eat far too much sodium. For example, low cal diets often say, unlimited bouillon. But each cube, in one cup, has about 1100 mg sodium. I have a can of corn I am giving away, people car camping left some canned goods. A Del Monte single serving can has 640 mg salt. Frozen corn, same weight, 8 mg. They add a lot. But if you think of how water retention affects you at period time, if you routinely eat more sodium than you should, it can be up to 5-10 pounds on your body most of the time. Unlike special diets which cut out things that are good for you too, this is going from unhealthy to midlevel healthy sodium. some dairy products, particularly cheese, and ice cream, leave some people constipated. But low fat yogurts actually contain natural probiotics, move things more rapidly through your intestines., as the good bacteria help break down food. So do not cut those out. Just don't get snack type yogurts that add sugary jam, or salt.

You do look beautiful. However we can all tell you that but until you see it for yourself it will not matter. You are a woman and more often than not we tend to focus on our flaws instead of the things that make us beautiful.
Please do not duct tape your stomach. If it is really important to you look into one of thoes waist sweat bands

You look beautiful and congrats on your weight loss journey! DO NOT DUCT TAPE. If you want to wear spanx go ahead but think about how hot it will be. Dancing, being comfortable. I wouldn't do it. You don't want to risk getting overheated and fainting on your big day!

I agree that you look amazing, but if you’re still really not feeling confident, I would try another style of shape wear before resorting to duct tape!

Awww I’m feeling for you! Do not feel embarrassed! Most women have that problem. I do too and I have a fitted dress!
Make sure you are eating lots of protein. Don’t cut out carbs all the way- have some sweet potato & brown rice. Carbs give you energy! And definitely still DO weights!! I see some girls saying you don’t need to as much but you definitely want to. Cardio burns more calories in the process, but it stops once you stop working out. Weights don’t burn as much during the process, but will continue once you leave the gym. I like to do weights every day and then 20 mins of cardio after (my fiancé is a personal trainer, in the business for over 10 years and he gave me this workout schedule).

please DO NOT use the duct tape. You don’t want to remember this very special day by being uncomfortable and worried about the way you look. You look absolutely STUNNING in that dress. Don’t stress it.

This. I'm horrified at what diet culture has done, and it seems to be magnified with brides.

It's heartbreaking and so, so unnecessary. I'd like to know of one man who looked at his wedding pictures and focused on his stomach size. When I see wedding photos, I just see lots of beautiful, happy people.

You look great! You shouldn't worry about it one bit!! But I do understand how you feel if you are worried about it I Googled the top 10 garments for tummy control, I ended up getting one that Oprah recommend it was from Nordstrom's and trust me it is fabulous!

You look beautiful! The few weeks before your wedding can bring on lots of anxiety. In addition to what others have said I wanted to add that dressing room lighting is usually not the greatest. You are lit from above in that photo which is casting shadows and accentuating curves (look under your boobs lol) And cell phone photos are not the greatest either. You really do look beautiful but I think you will also be much happier with your professional photos.
