i can't even believe i am asking this... Desperate.

So the attached picture is me dropping my dress off at alterations 2 weeks ago. I have lost about 20lbs, and MANY inches all over my body. After I left, went home and cried for 3 hours about my belly bulge even after all my hard work,..... I then had to compose myself. Since then, I have been on a VERY strict diet. No Carbs No added sugars No bread NO NOTHING. Still working out 3-4 days a week, 5 if my schedule allows. My fear is, I am not going to loose this pooch. BTW that's me with spanx on. SO, I am going to ask a border line desperate and embarrassing question.... has anyone Duct Taped their stomach on their wedding day? I did some googling and found you can really pull in this little fat back duct taping your entire stomach. I am curious A. has anyone done this and B. how was it after you have been sweating and dancing all night and C. did you die in pain taking it off that night LOL I currently have a corset on the way to me, but with the lace it is difficult to wear them as corsets are so thick.

Any help is needed, as the past 8 or 9 months I have worked my butt off to loose as much as I could, and for it to still not be enough is devastating.

Everyone has that small pouch. It's a sign of a healthy body. There is no shame in it and you shouldn't be worrying about duct taping your stomach. You look great and no one is even going to notice that.

DO NOT duct tape your stomach. You do not need it at all, and it is not healthy for you. You look great, and I would not advise you to do something like that.

ETA: I am an actor, professionally. A few times early in my career I had to bind my breasts down for roles, and one time we used a sports bra and duct tape. It was uncomfortable, and I could barely breathe let alone sing. And that was just on my chest, not on my stomach where my vital organs are. You do not need to do that, you SHOULD NOT DO IT. It is not safe or comfortable and most improtantly it is NOT NECESSARY. Everyone has a small bulge there. It is natural and you still look beautiful.

Don't be embarrassed at all! That is a very hard spot to lose weight in, if not the hardest spot to lose weight. Things that have helped me: Eat a high fiber diet, it makes you feel full and absorbs extra water. Cardio cardio cardio. Weight lifting and yoga and everything is cool, but cardio will melt the fat off faster than anything else. Probiotics also really improve gut health and can help with the bloating and overall look of your tummy. And lastly, intermittent fasting. I only eat food between 12 noon and 8pm. I do not eat before and I do not eat after. I've lost 10 pounds by only eating in this 8 hour window. You can still drink fluids, but the whole point is to reset your body and not have to rely so much on food to function but rather making your body rely on the fat it already has.

Good luck! I don't feel like taping your stomach would feel really good, but be proud of the body you have its amazing how much you lost and no one will be looking at your tummy they'll be looking at you and your new husband!

I'm not sure what style of Spanx you are wearing but I found that under more fitted dresses I prefer the style that is like a dress. It smooths things out better than the shorts style. But I think that the dress looks great on you.

You look beautiful in your dress! I struggle as well with the pooch. I used to swear by Spanx until a few weeks ago. I am wearing shapewear by Miraclesuit and it works miracle! I bought it from Macy’s and they’re having a sale right now. Here is the link - https://www.macys.com/shop/search?cm_sp=navigation_mew--gn--search-n-n&keyword=miraclesuit+shapewear&cm_kws_ac=Mira&cm_kws_ac=Mira
no matter what people won’t be focused on your pooch. They will see what a gorgeous bride you are!!!

You look great!!! I doubt people will even notice!

But also I would worry about that much pressure pushing against all your organs for that long a period of time. I say this as a warning after trying on spanx (like 3 weeks post surgery haha!) trying to find something I could feel it bad the next day and it was rough for 24 hours (I have endometriosis so surgery effected the area where you are trying to smush lol) so I'm more hyper aware right now but I just think healthy and not having surgery it's still not a great idea to do.

Please stop judging yourself so harshly you would even consider doing something so harmful and generally uncomfortable. You are not a shipping box,

I think you look beautiful. Please don’t duct tape your stomach. It would be uncomfortable and possibly even quite painful. Celebrate how amazing you look! 20lbs is a LOT and you should be so proud of your dedication.

Yes my dietitian told me to do that fasting, I am trying to do it 3 days a week while i'm at work and have more structure. I think I am doing 10-6. So I eat at 10, 12, 2, 4, 6 and that's it. And yeah, so before, I was doing ab works outs arms, and legs, right now I am focusing on CARDIO only! I am hoping it will be enough.

Mine were maiden form, and had the wires on the belly area, I did order a corset style, so I should have it in in a few days to see if that helps more.
