Hybrid Wedding

My cousin did it in her backyard. The Zoom did not work great because the wind made it tough to hear anything and it lagged a lot. The way to stop this lag is to have an ethernet cable connected directly to the source that you are broadcasting the wedding from. It is all really based on the venue. Some venues have an echo, others don't. The first thing I would do is to check if they already have a Zoom set up. Some places do. If you are inside, you are most likely going to have to connect microphones if you want people to hear you over Zoom, unless the camera is really close to where you both are. If you are outside, it might be more complex. I would recommend maybe hiring an IT person or getting someone who really knows technology well. Finally, I would recommend getting a Zoom pro account. It cuts out after 40 minutes if it is a group meeting and it wouldn't be great if your virtual guests missed part of the wedding. Lovecast is also a great option.
