How to word thank you card?

You could say something like "thank you for taking the time to celebrate with us at our shower and for your generous gift. It was great spending time with you and we look forward to celebrate with you at the wedding."

I generally go with something along the lines of "thank you for your generous monetary gift, we will be putting it toward . . . " so they can see what the money will go for - we even mentioned putting it toward fun honeymoon experiences for some wedding gifts.
